This territory gained an Albanian majority when the Serbs expelled 60k Albanians out of what is today Toplica / Nish area in the 19th century and these Albanians settled in this part of Kosova:
Spoiler!
16th century registers we have show an Albanian majority in many parts of Kosova / Dardania. And even during this period some Albanians in Kosova were still using Serbian names. This is just counting people with Muslim / Albanian names.
Even in 16th century Kosova registers show Serbs as a minority in many areas. Austrian-Ottoman wars might of changed the demographics a bit, I'd argue it changed even in favor of Slavs/Serbs to some extent in some of these areas. 18th century Northern Albanian migrations definitely didn't erode the Serb population considering Serbs were largely migrating into this territory themselves from other areas during that period. And Albanians and Slavs were also moving out. Diseases, war etc caused population losses too.

Don't you think it's time for Albanians to take back this territory where 60k Albanians were expelled ? If I had the military power I would personally invade these people and take it back for sure![]()

Albanian population in South-East Serbia goes all the way back to the medieval period before even Serbs expanded there so don't come up with this Ottoman bullshit. It's like moving from one part of your country to another part of your country.
