It's derived mainly from East Pomerania and in some regiosn is known as Platt. It's the second most spoken German variety in Brazil, only behind Hunsrückisch, shown in another thread. How do you think they compare? I believe it's even easier for Dutch speakers.

On the other hand, Swiss and Austrians might have a harder time understanding it than the previous dialect.
