I've heard two theories from racial egalitarians in this case. One states they had a perfect climate and thus they didn't have to fight for everything because the fruit dropped off the vine into their waiting hands. The other states that the climate was too harsh and resources were lacking. Both theories attempt to explain the obvious lack of evolution among sub-Saharan blacks.
It's a difficult situation when worthless people wander atop much needed resources. Our main problem is the fact that we kept them alive and prevented nature from doing it's work.
Yet they have a more moderate climate like much of Africa, therefore I cannot see how a climactic argument can be used to explain black backwardness but not the farming prowess of other races living in similar climes.I can assure you that their sawa's were a lot more productive then 17th century European agriculture as we Europeans were still living hand-to-mouth back in those days - always on the brink of starvation with the Little Ice Age wreaking havoc in large parts of Europe.
Also, in many parts of SE Asia and nearby environs, to this day, they are subsistence hunter-gatherers reliant upon the hunting of rats in jungles and the collection of insects.
