Why the Vatican supports Migrants?

I think it would only make sense if there intentions or planns to convert them and send them as priests, deacons, bishops and missionaries and nuns and monks around the world etc. if there is no plann to convert them (since most migrants are not catholic but muslim) why would the Vatican support them?

Here is a article from Vatican News about migrants, it reads very pro migrant, that they are "poor" and "suffering" and "oppressed"

The Vatican maybe pretends not to see race or wants to be viewed as religious humanists.
You would think Christian Democrats as moderates (increasingly left leaning over the century) would support only refugees from Catholic countries. Maybe I am wrong but they seem to bring in people from everywhere.
This makes more conservative and nativist Catholics unhappy.

But leaving the Church does not solve the issue. A Christian can't solve such problem by leaving Christianity, because there's no Christianity without Church. Yes, I consider Catholics to be heretics and schismatics, but they have apostolic succession and some valid sac.raments, it's still better than complete apostasy and atheism/agnosticism/new age nonsense in next generations.
