The West (the US mostly) likes to play games with soft power and color revolutions,

because the US is impotent, unwilling to fight, and politically divided,
especially after repeated failures/disasters in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria.

I would say that Russia is actually winning the soft power battle though,

the most important countries, with most of the world's population and resources, now support Russia,
or refuse to support the US/Ukraine.

Russia is also perceived as more competent, consistent, and reliable than the US,
and is now respected in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, while the US is not.

And Russia wins all of its recent wars fomented by Western powers: Chechnya, Syria, and now Ukraine

The West is becoming more isolated.

Yes the US is very weak at the moment while also being very aggressive, this makes a Russian reaction inevitable;

the US should know better than to provoke the bear while being unable to fight it.

Did you know that Putin actually wanted to join NATO and the EU throughout 1999-2004. There's an interview where he says that the regime the soviets lived under was the fault of their own mentality at that point and that Russia very much needed to adapt to the rest of Europe. That aged like milk.

The Russians are using North Korean ballistic missiles in increasing numbers.

They are also using North Korean artillery ammunition massively, although the ammunition of that origin seems to be giving more failures, including destruction of the barrel, than the usual ones.

The vast majority of long-range drones they use are Iranian.

Term shortage means you are out of something, due to miscount, lack of production, lack of import or everything listed. North Korea has received food even from Spain. Everyone has sent food to North Korea at some point. What the rest of us have not done is teach them how to make missiles and put nuclear warheads on them.
