    all of my known ancestry is in the same village and the surrounding villages where my parents were born and raised, while these two specific areas, maternal and paternal, are over 200 km apart on the map, around 300km by road

    The most distant birthplace among my known ancestors (so far) is 60 kilometres from my birthplace. However, all other ancestors — including parents and beyond of the aforementioned ancestor — are all from within a 20-kilometre radius.

    I’ve received my Big Y results today, and even my most recent haplogroup’s location on Globetrekker (AD 870) is less than 100 kilometres from my current residence…
