Never been to Zagreb, but i have seen pics of the city. Similar to Debrecen, but bigger. The local architecture gives me a rural vibe a little bit. I think Fiume looks much better.

I passed trough Debrecen once, looked nice and clean, but very empty. Zagreb is most similar to Graz, but larger. I don't know about rural vibe, but it was a fairly conservative city historically and "boring".

Rijeka/Fiume isn't a beauty, but it's extremely urban and interesting, with top notch surroundings and ideal geographic position. Architecturally it's more varied than Zagreb and pretty unique, closer to Pest in fact.

Saint Mark's square where that building is, with old Gothic church is beautiful and political heart of this small nation.
