    Yeah, but Kent didn't have Danish settlement, and the Jutes were probably West Germanic like other Anglo-Saxons.

    There's not much evidence of Viking settlement in NE Scotland. The only area of the Scottish 'mainland' to bear the brunt of Viking settlement was Caithness.

    What about the place names ending in "inge" that are quite common in Kent and in Denmark?

    -ing/-ung is a very generic Germanic suffix and one letter away from becoming -inge just by chance
