First time I heard about this woman, she seems very atypical, but in Galicia there is no very large gypsy community and they are very inbred, it would probably be pseudo traits, her second last name is very Spanish from the North-West but first it is common in southern Spain perhaps His father is an Andalusian Gypsy. The other explanations are that she is part gypsy, which you find over all of Europe basically (except maybe Scandinavia? Don't know if I ever heard of them having a gypsy problem). Or perhaps her family are Latin Americans who relocated to Spain - I have heard of this happening and while it's not horribly common (I think it's much more common for Brazilians to go to Portugal?), they will indeed have children who are born there and have Spanish citizenship.

Whatever the case is with her, I doubt she is representative of the average Spaniard by any means. Most of them are just regular white people who tend more towards darker features.

Yes, but outside of TA, many people overestimate the North African influence as well and think of Iberians as some sort of Berber-European hybrid population. This is simply not true at all.

I'm not having an internet debate about the color of Spanish people but it's one of those things that inevitably gets brought up in these threads, which are all a carbon copy of the other 1,000 threads just like them on TA over the years.
