I find it difficult to vote here as I recognise myself in every way of thinking here to some degree. It's say it's a spectrum more like and I prefer to interact with people I share the most values with. I have a nationalist streak for sure, so I still voted for that. I don't like the internationalisation of universities and workplaces with mediocre English (Globish) as lingua franca in my own country, for instance.

I embraced tribalism during the Saint George Floyd insurrection. I always rooted for the Proud Boys (all races) when they fought the commie scum (all races). I watched live streams of the riots each night. I saw Black Republicans attacked (fist, knife, rock, etc.) and threatened by White creeps in masks in northern states (the more things change), and that showed me that the Demon Rats stayed true to form.

I have a tribal identity, I don't have a strong ethnic or national identity, but I respect people who do.

An ethnically homogenous nation-state is best. The tribe is the nation, unless split by politics.
Otherwise some type of assimilation, civic nationalism is needed.

If no coherent nationalism is possible, then tribalism is inevitable.

I actually need a closer explanation what you mean with nationalist and tribalist. My loyalty and identification is with the German people (ethnos), not with a particular (German) state, nor with a particular German tribe. What am I then in your terms?

This is the German nation. And German people have their own countries.

When white Germans are a minority in their own country,
and you support their interests more than you support the state, and there is no coherent nation,
then you are tribalist, post-nationalist like me!
Tribes might be racial, ethnic, political, religious...
Tribes might be large or small.

The Reichsburgers are a tribe, so are Mennonites and others who separate themselves from society,
since they have no chance of forming a nation, or do not really want to.

In extremely polarised countries like the US, the two sides have become two different political tribes.
And Southerners were/are a tribe who tried to become a nation.
