It doesn't sounds like they are forcing the kids to be genderless. Something like an isolated experiment it seems.
Different cultures have different gender norms. Who are foreigners to criticize anything if these "different gender norms" don't involve stoning women to death?
In the case of Sweden, which is one of the most successful and wholesome nations on the planet, the culture is such that women are actually expected to initiate romance with men, as happened here in Netherlands. I can't say either feminists or the average guy would complain at that fact.
Incidentally, the countries with the most "post-modern" family structures in Europe tend to have somewhat more children. These include Sweden (TFR: 1.67), Finland and Iceland (majority of children born out of wedlock, but not born outside of stable couples, TFR almost 2.1). In "non-decadent" conservative and macho countries, such as Greece, Italy and etc, we find some of Europe's lowest fertility rates, highest indices of corruption and unemployment and serious risk of demographic collapse in the long-term.
