My Ancestry Off from Expected?

Basically, my ancestry is 6 out of 8 great-grandparents being British (mostly English, some Scottish, less Irish, and very remote German and Dutch, and one great-grandparent (6.25% of my DNA) of unknown but we assume also basically British origin). Aside from that, it's just one great-grandparent from the middle of France and one great-grandparent from Messina, Sicily.

However, most of the mixed-population sharing oracles on GED match show WHAT APPEARS TO ME to be a rather much more Mediterranean-shifted slant than the above pedigree would be assumed to produce. Take a look at some of my oracle results below. Is this what you would assume, for a pedigree that's (basically) 75% British, 12.5% run of the mill French and 12.5% Sicilian? Could this indicate that 6.25% I don't know about is Mediterranean instead of British? But 23andme puts me at like 84% "Northwest European" (I guess they include France in NW Europe?) and 12.4% Southern European which is closer to what I would expect. Geno 2.0 had me more Med-shifted than this, almost half way between the British and the Greek averages.

"Greek_Northwest" is Epirus and western Macedonia which, for what it is worth, are not exactly genetically very southward plotting. Your shift to the Levant should not be more than around 6-8% given your ancestry which implies the other 6.25% of your ancestry must be something even southward plotting of Sicilian. Maybe Jewish, Levantine, etc?

Sikeliot, I don't have any Jewish heritage according to 23andme, and 23andme counted me as basically 84% "Northwest European" and 12.5% Southern European which would be in line with my heritage but only if they consider French to be "Northwest European" which to me, it's only about half so. And again, all the other calculators seem to give me more southerly input, as did National Geographic Geno 2.0. I am waiting on ancestry compilation from MyHeritage and DNA.land right now, but for what it's worth, here's what WeGene scored me as...

I think this calculator may be more accurate for Asians. But it still shows a southerly (and easterly) slant to my ancestry. And as you can see from the results Litvin posted, I'm basically averaging out as similar to 3/4 British and 1/4 Greek.

I don't see anything weird with your results and known ancesty, you say it makes you half Greek, but you are not half Icelandic either (arguably the most genetically northern pop in Europe). You are somewhere between the two populations. Sicilian is just a hard pull south, even 1/8.

You can post your Euro K15 and try the pca, it usually looks spot on.

I always am scoring high West Asian/Caucausus/Middle East.

K15 mix mode doesn't give you very good fits (@4+), but the pca puts you exactly where you should be. To break it down more easily let's say 12.5% French + 12.5% Sicilian place this 25% of your ancestry just next to Tuscan, and your 75% English and German/Dutch is likely as usual "CEU", like most Americans which is somewhere around S.Dutch. 75% CEU + 25% Tuscan = your point. Your paper ancestry is spot on compared to where your genome actually is, so really nothing is weird with your results.

Btw Icelandic would be in the upper left corner between the NW and North_Sea, your point is also between that and Greek Thessaly.
