I see a lot of people claiming its origin is supposed to be ''levantine''. Any proof it's not from assimilated Jews, North Africans and Arabs?

Maybe it is from those populations but I doubt it greatly since it seems to be very ancient and is found all other Europe. I think it probably was carried by Neolithic farmers or other migrating MENA groups like herders
