Thought these results might be interesting to share. These are my results compared to my first cousin. Our mother's are siblings whose ancestral roots are 50% Messinian and 50% Arcadian Greek. My father is 100% Messinian whereas my cousin's father was born in Thessalia (100% native Thessalian). Was wondering if anyone notices anything that stands out about these results in terms of regional tendencies. It kind of confirms my sense that I'm getting extra Italian through my father.

Me:
South Europe 80%
Greek 59.8
Italian 21.0
North and West Europe 10%
East Europe/Balkan 9%

My cousin:
South Europe: 65.3%
Greek: 64.3
Italian: 1.0
North and West Europe: 5.8%
East Europe/Balkan: 28.9%

Thessalian being more Balkan/Slavicized than Peloponnesians explains the difference in the result.

Makes sense thanks. I would guess there’s a strong Italian presence in parts of Messinia that may be linked to Venetian control of Koroni and/or post Bronze population exchanges?
