As in, a component on a particular run that makes differ the most from your population.

For me it's Southwest Asian on Dodecad k12b

Me: 0,7
PT average: 5

I've noticed i usually get less than average on similar components, but on k12b the difference stands out more.

I score pretty high Italian on 23andme than expected.

I am only 6.25% Italian by known ancestry (an Italian paternal great grandpa), and I am not full but mostly Spanish descent. Iberians rarely score more than 8-10% Italian on 23andme, and yet I score 15% Italian.

Then, my mom is supposedly full Spanish, and yet she scores 20% Italian on 23andme :noidea:

North African but sometimes the European is higher too. Anyway I never saw a Jew with as high Berber Ancestry as I have. It also makes my SSA higher than average but not in a direct way.

On dodecad K12b

NW Africa:
Avg: 9.51%
me: 11.07%

SSA:
Avg: 0.80%
Me: 1.92%

Not crazy differences but they are still present

On the other hand:

North European:
Avg: 4.30%
Me: 7.01%

It's even higher than the pure Sephardic average (6.09%) lol

So I guess if I'm more Amazigh than average but also more European than avergae it balnces lol...

north african jews have arabic names or berber names like hannouna, benayoun, benguigui etc. they also often speak arabic, so i guess at some point they must have intermarried with berbers and arabs.

most likely, but it doesn't explain why I'm more than average. Especially when I do have Spanish Ancestry as well so Sephardic is present. ..
Interesting enough no one in my family look North African.
