To show you how good it was on so many calcs I get a lot of Basque. On the SNP Analysis Sardinia is one of my top regions on the admixture portion. They have close genetic ties to the Basques.

Sardinians, while being part of the European gene pool, are outliers in the European genetic landscape[93] (together with the Basques, the Sami and the Icelanders[94]) in part because of particular phenomena that are often found in isolated populations, such as the founder effect and the genetic drift. The data seem to suggest that the current population is derived in large part from the Stone age settlers,[53] with some other minor contributions in the Chalcolithic and the early Bronze age; the contribution, in terms of gene flow, of the historical colonizers appears in fact to be very scarce.[95][96] The researchers found the Basques to be the genetically closest population to the Sardinians, and that such similarity is not mediated by the influence of other Spaniards in modern times.[4]
