AutoCluster Analysis

This document explains the visual chart that contains your AutoCluster analysis.

AutoClusters is a new technology on MyHeritage that organizes your DNA Matches
into shared match clusters, that likely descended from common ancestors. Each of
the colored cells in the chart represents an intersection between two of your matches,
meaning that both individuals match each other (in addition to matching you). These
cells are grouped together physically and by color to create a powerful visual chart of
your shared match clusters.

Each color represents one shared match cluster. Members of a cluster match you
and most or all of the other cluster members. Everyone in a cluster will likely be on
the same ancestral line, although the most recent common ancestor between any of
the matches and between you and any match may vary. The generational level of the
clusters may vary as well. One may be your paternal grandmother’s branch, and
another may be your paternal great-grandfather’s branch.

You may see several gray cells that do not belong to any color-grouped cluster. They
usually represent a shared match where one of the two cousins is too closely related
to you to belong to just one cluster. Each of these cousins belongs to a color-grouped
cluster, and the gray cell indicates that one of them belongs in both clusters. A group
of adjacent gray cells can be an indication that two clusters are related to each other.

You can explore each cluster by viewing the family trees of its members and try to
identify it. This can lead to new revelations about some of your own ancestors that
you are currently unfamiliar with.

Settings used for this AutoCluster analysis

Your AutoCluster analysis was generated using thresholds of 20 cM (minimum) and
350 cM (maximum). In addition, DNA Matches were required to share at least 20 cM
with one another in order to be indicated with a colored or gray cell. A total number of
106 DNA Matches ended up in 25 clusters in the final analysis.

These thresholds were automatically selected and adjusted by our algorithms for your
analysis, in order to yield the best clusters for your specific DNA kit.

If you find a link to someone in your family tree from the cluster, basically you have the link to the whole cluster.

My top cluster has a shetlander in it. So I know its down my great grans side somewhere.

It's a nice feature, if you want to look deaper into the family reasearch.

This actually proves that Global 25 calculators are the best out there and they should be used with unscaled coordinates. I score an elevated amount of Levant compared to an average Ukrainian or Belarusian, this indicates that Jewish ancestry is real.

Names are ambiguous. I know people named Miller who are Baptists. Only one Jew name popped up: Leiberman. That is not clear, either. The only Jewish names that are undebateable are names like: Goldstein, Levy, Cohen, and Shapiro. Almost all names on my clusters were very Anglo.

Okay, with the countries I did get Israel but it's way at the bottom with only 22 known matches. The highest percentage is the United States and Great Britain with matches in the thousands.

23andme wants everyone to have a little Jewish DNA to fight "anti semitism".

Stop saying this nonsense, it's not true. I get zero.

It's not about the countries, matches can live in whatever country they want, it doesn't reflect their ethnicity. I have a match in Japan, but it is a Russian person. You didn't say how many members from your clusters score predominantly Jewish in their ethnicity estimate.

Will do.

Perhaps you have not understood how to do that. So let me explain: Log in to myheritage > open your AutoClusters downloaded zip file > open the html file > scroll down to AutoClusters Information > Click on any name from your clusters, it will open myheritage "Review DNA Match" page > Scroll down to "Shared ethnicities" and see their ethnicity estimate.

Have distant Bukharian matches on MyHeritage. Used admix studio to evaluate our triangulated segment (about 13cm, my grandma has it too) :

This is its K36:

0.00% Amerindian
59.03% Arabian
0.00% Armenian
5.33% Basque
10.93% Central_African
0.00% Central_Euro
0.00% East_African
0.00% East_Asian
0.00% East_Balkan
0.00% East_Central_Asian
0.00% East_Central_Euro
0.00% East_Med
0.00% Eastern_Euro
0.00% Fennoscandian
0.00% French
0.00% Iberian
0.00% Indo-Chinese
0.00% Italian
0.00% Malayan
0.00% Near_Eastern
1.50% North_African
0.00% North_Atlantic
0.00% North_Caucasian
0.00% North_Sea
0.00% Northeast_African
0.00% Oceanian
2.31% Omotic
5.25% Pygmy
0.00% Siberian
0.00% South_Asian
0.00% South_Central_Asian
0.00% South_Chinese
0.00% Volga-Ural
0.00% West_African
0.00% West_Caucasian
15.64% West_Med

This is the k13:

0.00% North_Atlantic
0.00% Baltic
26.61% West_Med
7.01% West_Asian
18.92% East_Med
21.86% Red_Sea
0.00% South_Asian
0.00% East_Asian
0.00% Siberian
0.00% Amerindian
0.00% Oceanian
16.39% Northeast_African
9.21% Sub-Saharan

Trying to determine if:

a) It's their distant Ashkenazi heritage
b) My distant Bukharian heritage
c) Neither: some late shared heritage from Israel (around the 600's after the revolt against Heraclius)

So far, a) looks very unlikely. Any ideas?

You are not tested with 23andme? they assign ethnicity by segment.

No, AncestryDNA

these k13 and k36 are not comparable. On k13 that looks like some mixed Moroccan-Algerian but without North_Atlantic and West Asian, while on k36 it's far from Morrocan. So it doesn't make sense. If you were tested with 23andme, you would know what it is.

Edit. or it kinda resembles Bedouin or Samaritan+Moroccan+ something else (on k13).

it's interesting that mother doesn't have any Finnish clusters. So it's from my father's side.
