I only discuss about them from cultural, historical and of course from genetical and anthropological perspective, because they penetrated entire Balkans and a big part of Eastern Europe, and they left a visible cultural and genetic influence in these areas. Vlachs are just our ancestors, and the elite who established the Moldavian Principality in the mid 14th century. Nobody in Moldova named himself Vlach, for me they are just an medieval group of people, from where we took their languge and culture. Geneticaly Moldavians are half Balkanites, half Eastern Europeans. I2a, being considered of Slavic origin, have the highest concentration here, especially in mountain area. Why? I don't know.
