The EU's Betrayal Of Italy May Be Its Undoing

When countries are turning to China because their supranational institutions won’t help, that’s a problem...

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a greater toll on Italy than any other nation. The Italians are facing their most severe crisis since the Second World War, with Lombardy in the industrial north particularly hard hit. Yet for all its rhetoric about global citizenship and solidarity, the European Union has all but abandoned them.

That’s even though communist China, arguably globalization’s greatest and shrewdest state beneficiary, is ready to fill the void and help Italy put out the fire its own virus started.

The coronavirus first appeared in Italy on January 31 when two Chinese tourists from the Hubei province tested positive in Rome, eight days after they’d landed at the Milan airport in Lombardy. The two were immediately isolated and quarantined in the Roman Spallanzani hospital, and the situation seemed under control—until February 21. That day, Italy confirmed 16 new coronavirus cases, 14 in Lombardy and two in Veneto. A 38-year-old Italian from Codogno near Milan with acute respiratory symptoms was identified as patient zero. Despite Italy’s attempts to contain the virus by locking down the city of Codogno, coronavirus infections spread.

https://www.zerohedge.com/s3/files/inline-images/bfmBB04.jpg?itok=ZqeenylU

In just a few days, Italy had the highest number of infections in Europe, with Lombardy as the pandemic’s epicenter. To avoid the spread of infections to the rest of Italy, the government locked down the entire region of Lombardy and other areas in northern Italy, effectively quarantining 17 million people. A few days later, as the situation deteriorated, the whole of Italy was declared an “orange zone”—all “non-essential” commercial activities were shut down and the free movement of citizens was limited to grocery and pharmaceutical shopping and work obligations deemed by the state as of “prime importance.”

The economic repercussions of a complete shutdown loomed large. Consequently, Italy asked the EU for more flexibility on its accounts and requested that emergency measures be deployed to support Italian citizens and businesses. At the time, the crisis was hardly felt in the European powerhouses, France or Germany. The EU’s response was slow and inefficient, and Italians started to feel abandoned by European institutions. As the original signer of the Treaty of Rome, Italy is a founding member of the EU and the third largest economy in the eurozone.

On March 12, the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, marked a point of no return—she gave a highly anticipated speech outlining the measures the bank would introduce to combat the effects of the coronavirus. Lagarde decided not to cut interest rates, arguing against the policy of “whatever it takes,” as had been outlined by former ECB president Mario Draghi. To Italians, the EU’s indifference was a betrayal. The consequences of her words were immediate—and disastrous for Italian stocks. Even the pro-EU president of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, released a harsh statement asking the EU to correct its ways in the “common interest” of Europe.

The EU did change its position on the COVID-19 response, but not until the health care crisis had spread to France and Germany, making it their problem, too. By then, the damage done to the Italians’ trust in European institutions was already beyond repair. With few viable options left, Italy’s government is now considering the European “Save the State Funds,” asking the EU to implement the €500 billion emergency bailout program from the European Stability Mechanism designed for EU member states—a risky move that may saddle Italy with long-term debt on a scale similar to Greece.

The coronavirus emergency has exposed the failures and flaws of the European Union, while underscoring the importance of nation-states. In Europe, we’ve observed a series of events that have demonstrated the collapse of the supra-national model. First, the borders shut down—Austria and Slovenia acted unilaterally, without asking approval from Italy’s government. The move was also symbolic: Italy was not only isolated, it was abandoned to its own devices.

Globalization may have its efficiencies, but an overwhelmed health care system suffers in the absence of internal production of the necessary materials—life-saving ventilators, infection-preventing hazmat vests, face masks. The global evolution of supply chains exported manufacturing and relied heavily on the cheap imports of essential products from abroad. But with the spread of the coronavirus, many states are now forbidding the export of medical equipment. A good example is Turkey, a country that readily accepts EU funds and that many liberals would like to bring into the Union. Ankara blocked a shipment of 200,000 face masks already purchased by Italy for the hard-hit northern regions of Marche and Emilia Romagna.

The Italians are coming together to fight the pandemic. Many Italian companies have converted production at home: those working in the textile industry have started producing face masks. Italy’s only manufacturer of respiratory equipment, in the province of Bologna, is not able to meet the current needs and relieve the national shortage of ventilators. Army technicians are now helping to increase production capacity.

What has the coronavirus in Italy taught us so far? A great nation is doing what it can to become self-sufficient as the crisis proves daily that the propaganda of the prophets of globalization is false. We see that there are strategic sectors, such as health care, transport, energy, defense, and telecommunications, that have to be considered from the perspective of national security and not strictly business.

This is a new, unspoken understanding that unites Italy today. We have witnessed a return of patriotism: flags are hanging from windows and Italians are singing the national anthem. But there is something else to consider: our freedom. Some politicians, including former prime minister Matteo Renzi, are proposing to monitor the movements of individuals using their phones and data from telecommunication companies to police compliance with the lockdown rules and assess penalties for violations. This smacks of the Big Brother surveillance state. The collection of metadata for statistical ends, as practiced in Lombardy, should be separated from the indiscriminate control of individual citizens. Otherwise an Orwellian precedent will be set. Such an anti-democratic attitude seems to be one of the collateral ideological effects of what President Trump refers to as a “Chinese virus.”

Meanwhile, we are witnessing a dangerous government narrative born out of an emotional response to Chinese “help” in a time of crisis. This narrative, increasingly uncritical of communist China, turns a blind eye to Chinese long-term foreign policy aims and the fact that its help is tantamount to the arsonist helping to put out the fire he started. Only recently did the Chinese government sent medical assistance to Italy—and a propagandist’s camera to capture the event. But no gesture should whitewash the responsibility of the Chinese Communist Party. According to The South China Morning Post, the first case of coronavirus in China can be traced back to November 17, while the Chinese government publicly admitted the existence of the epidemic on January 12, almost two months later.

What is most disconcerting about Italy’s crisis-induced, pro-China narrative is that it is false. It portrays China as a benefactor, claiming that its ventilators are gifts. In fact, Italy paid for them under a regular contract. The grave absence of the EU should not induce the Italians to strike up an uncritical relationship with Beijing.

In the midst of a crisis that makes Italy particularly vulnerable, it is necessary to have a clear mind and remember how China has quickly turned soft power and public diplomacy into hard power and real influence. This is the aim of the new Belt and Road Initiative, described by President Xi Jinping in his book Governing China, which brought billions in investments that stretch through Greece’s Piraeus, the Balkans, and Italy’s north-eastern Trieste region. In May 2019, Italy became the first G7 country to join the Belt and Road Initiative.

Nor should we forget the incompatibility between China’s values and our own, their human rights violations and denial of liberty and democracy. When Mike Pompeo called Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio to emphasize the closeness between the United States and Italy, he also cautioned Italy about its relationship with China, saying, “the day will arrive in which we will evaluate how the world responded” to Beijing’s propaganda. Despite Pompeo’s clear warnings, the Italian government appears unaware of China’s overt imperial ambitions in Europe.

It is too soon to draw long-term economic conclusions from the coronavirus pandemic, but it is clear that those who reacted best are nation-states with the freedom to manage their borders and fiscal policy. When this emergency ends, the legitimacy of EU institutions will no doubt be questioned.

But there is another path Italy may choose: intensifying bilateral relations with the United States, becoming the nexus of commerce in the Mediterranean, increasing its presence in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, and reclaiming its role as a center of Christianity and Catholicism in the world.

Making Italy great again is more than a dream—it is an attainable possibility.

Nationalism is anyway rising and political rhetoric increasing. The position of Italy is difficult, but conversely to some other European countries Italy has followed her own self-willed economic strategy during good times.

The EU has abandoned everybody (and so have our own governments), so we might just as well scrap the EU, the Eurozone, Schengen AND NATO, leave the UN and join the EFTA after this is done. As for my country: it too should join the Belt and Road Initiative and pursue military and diplomatic neutrality (to be enshrined in the constitution). We should start by launching a full criminal investigation into MH17 and on the role played by NATO, the EU and our own government (which will have direct legal consequences for those involved)and drop the EU boycott of Russia.

In fact - the Belgians and Luxembourgers have been nowhere either and they are our so-called "brothers" who actively closed the border on us and refused to help us in any way, shape or form so we should scrap the Benelux as well but the Germans are helping us bringing patients to their hospitals as our government wiped out many of our ICU-units over the last 10 years (and closed down many hospitals) and the Chinese and Russians are also helping. As for America, Canada and even the UK ? Fuck them too. They were nowhere to be seen either as we're pretty much fighting this battle on our own with some Chinese, Russian and German help. We should be neutral but economically - we should reorient Eastward and look away from the Anglosphere altogether: in other words, going back to our pre-1940 neutrality and cultural policy.

It's understandable why furious Italians are burning EU flags all over Italy at the moment, are singing the Italian anthem whilst calling for Italexit and Italeave.... and are frequenly using the hashtag and slogan #CiSalviamoDaSoli ("We Save Ourselves!")

Former Italian PM and Eurosceptic Matteo Salvini (the anti-immigration leader of the opposition party) has stated that Italy should firstly fight the virus... then leave the bureaucratic EU without thanking it. He called the EU a load of vipers.

The Italians will not forget nor forgive the EU for this.... nor will Greece and Spain.

Instead of helping Italy, Germany and France blocked medical aid from being sent to them.

France also tried to block a lorry full of vital face masks from being sent to the UK.... and meanwhile thousands of face masks which are 'Made In China' that are used by doctors and nurses in the Netherlands have urgently been recalled by the Dutch safety advisors as they have many design flaws that don't protect the wearers.

The EU is also cruelly fining Italy €80,000 per day (at a time when Italy is economically struggling,) until Italy pays the EU €8.5 million in *other* fines.

The EU prevented Italy from restricting free movement and closing their borders sooner.

Spanish people are also fuming that EU states such as Germany, France, and the Netherlands are not helping them. But these EU states are also facing a crisis of their own too. They already contribute large sums of money each year to the EU funding.

So much for 'EU solidarity' when the chips are down. The bureaucratic EU is an enemy to Europeans. Many EU states are already taking back control of their borders and laws and are becoming nationalists now.

And who's going to foot the colossal EU bailout bill this time?!

Even more sickening is the EU recently sent €20 million in Covid-19 aid to Iran and €150 million euros to Morocco (probably more blackmail money (like the EU submissively hands over to Turkey each year) to prevent these Islamic nations from flooding Europe with more migrants.)

The EU bailout bill this time will be colossal.

The UK is currently one of the biggest contributors to the EU funding, but that will stop after the UK-EU transition period ends in December 2020. Athough the UK will also have to foot some of the colassal EU bailout bill, we'll save ourselves from being bankrupted by fully leaving the EU by the end of this December.

The UK has so far committed up to £544m of UK aid funding to the international fight against an invisible enemy;- CV19. This includes £150million to @IMFNews to help developing countries to tackle to virus + £65million investment into COVID19 research.

Downing Street says the UK is now the biggest contributor to the international coalition to find a vaccine with £210m further funding announced taking the total amount of UK aid spent fighting coronavirus to £544m.

(The UK Prime Minister (Boris Johnson) Senior Adviser to the PM (Dominic Cummings,) Health Secretary (Matt Hancock,) and Chief Medical Adviser and epidemiologist to the government (Professor Chris Whitty) are all currently in isolation and working from their homes as they all have Coronavirus.)

(Prince Charles has recently come out of isolation after recovering from Covid-19.)

Russia has sent over 15 military planes and lots of military trucks full of medical supplies, as well as doctors, nurses, viriologists, etc, to help Italy.

What comes to Russia ... if epidemic rises there anywhere as high as in Spain or in Italy ... whole country can collapse. Russians own healthy care system simply can not handle anything like (as keeping minds their population). Putin/Russian leaders only fair is their own people/population. Russians help to anybody will end sooner than you can say mice. Putin knows that. His speech on TV (today) or tight limitations to Moscow are actions to avoid that. He has also already tried to get their sanctions ended ...with USA & with EU ... because of corona.

Now I remember why my ancestors looked at the sea. They didn't look at Europe. Europe was something to be seen from behind a well decked out defence system. Our future, like our past, lies overseas and lies in Asia. The government spent all the money needed for our hospitals on saving Europe and being the white knight on shining armour, riding to the rescue while they were warned that our elderly were suffering in retirement homes because no care was available and there weren't enough ICU beds to go around if were ever to be hit by anything. They knew this back in 2016 (https://www.bnr.nl/nieuws/gezondheid/10406135/veiligheidsdiensten-waarschuwden-in-2016-al-voor-tekort-ic-bedden) but they pressed ahead anyway... playing Sinterklaas and we got nothing in return. The liberals and the EU killed Brabant and they aren't done butchering yet as the virus spreads all over the fucking country. Including the Wadden Islands. They already ran out of beds, out of equipment and they only ordered breathing equipment two weeks ago while it was already too late. They are running out of medication as well. Masks ? Protective gear ? They are running out as we speak.

Coronavirus response: Czech medical aid arrives in Spain, heads to Italy

A C-130 cargo plane of the Spanish Air Force carrying 10,000 protective medical suits donated by the Czech Republic reached Spain on Sunday (29 March 2020) as part of allied efforts to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The aircraft, which also carried 90 respirators, landed at Torrejón air base for further distribution of the supplies by the Spanish authorities.

A further delivery of medical equipment from the Czech Republic, including 10,000 protective medical suits is set to reach the Italian city of Milan by truck on Monday (30 March 2020).

Spain and Italy have requested assistance through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) with medical supplies such as personal protection equipment, respirators, masks and test kits. The NATO centre passed the requests on to NATO Allies and partners, who provide assistance on a bilateral basis.

The EU and its unelected EU Presidents have shown their true colours in this crisis. If that's how they treat their friends, then who needs enemies?! Not only have they deserted Italy... they kicked them whilst they're down and are economically struggling... by issuing large fines onto them.

Italy is currently one of the 'big 4' contributors to the EU (along with the UK, Germany, and France.) The UK will stop funding the EU after December 2020, and Italexit could happen next as Italians are furious with the EU for neglecting them as well as fining them during their crisis.

Italy shouldn't pay the fines... cos the EU will cease to exist soon.

The EU is an enemy to Europeans. Time to abolish the corrupt EU and replace it with an FTA (Free Trade Agreement) instead. Our nations can still be friends and allies without the bureaucratic political dictatorship of the EU.

What the EU have done to Italy is unforgiveable. (Also not forgetting the EU ignored democratic referendum results in the Netherlands, France, and Ireland in the past... and removed democratically elected leaders in Italy and Greece in the past and replaced them with pro-EU puppet governments.)

I think the Benulux nations (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg,) also have their own crisis problems to deal with too. (Belgium certainly has their own problems with over 11,000 confirmed cases of CV19 - although not everyone with symptoms are tested, whereas Germany is doing a lot of testing,) but Luxembourg is just a small and very wealthy parasitic tax-haven state which is a beneficiary of the EU rather than a contributor.

The UK has so far committed up to £544m of UK aid funding. This includes £150million to @IMFNews to help developing countries to tackle to virus + £65million investment into COVID19 research.

As for your statement to 'fuck the UK'.... we could say the exact same back mate to the Netherlands - for not coming to our aid - as we've got far more CV cases to deal with in the UK at the moment than the NL has.

Your PM Mark Rutte made huge cuts to hospitals and care home closures in the Netherlands in recent years, (Geert Wilders and the PVV have tirelessly spoken out against this over the years,) and now there's a shortage of beds and ventilators in the NL.... and Mark Rutte has previously given billions of euros to the EU's climate funding, space project, and to fortune-seeking asylum seekers in the borderless Netherlands.

So blame your PM Mark Rutte and his VVD party and the CDA coalition govt in the NL for hospital closures in the NL, instead of shouting at the UK for not funding the shortage of hospital beds in the NL... as we've got our own problems to deal with and already give a lot in foreign aid donations and EU funding.

Downing Street says the UK is now the biggest contributor to the international coalition to find a vaccine with £210m further funding announced taking the total amount of UK aid spent fighting coronavirus to £544m.

On top of that, the UK govt is paying 80% of UK wages, giving boxes of food to the vulnerable and also to the elderly in the UK, and is creating more ventilators and 10 new NHS Nightingale hospitals (named after Florence Nightingale - the founder of nursing who is celebrated around the globe on International Nurses Day,) to deal with the crisis in the UK.

https://cdn.statcdn.com/Infographic/images/normal/18794.jpeg

The UK gives a lot in EU funding (that will stop after we fully leave the EU in December 2020,) - but the EU Presidents decided to spend their EU funds on Morocco and Iran instead. The EU Presidents sent €20 million of EU funds to Iran and €150 million of EU funds to Morocco in Covid-19 aid.

Portugal has condemned the Netherlands, France, and Germany for not giving more money and aid to Spain and Italy... and they're all bitching at each other.... but they all have their own crisis in their own states to deal with too.

The EU has spent their funds irresponsibly by sending money to Morocco and Iran instead.

One thing for sure: we have to make our healthcare system far more robust after this crisis and the whole production of medical equipment must be moved back here. Never again should we rely on others. Same goes for foodstuffs: time to become as self-sufficient as possible in every field.

Russia has sent over 15 military planes and lots of military trucks full of medical supplies, as well as doctors, nurses, viriologists, etc, to help Italy.

The western MSM doesn't this.

I agree that EU as a whole is incapable of doing anything right now, but Germany did help Italy and France as well.

Funny how it goes: barely 15 years ago.. The Netherlands had the German healthcare system - a gift from uncle Adolf in 1941. But no.. those Anglo-loving liberals just had to scrap it and bring in the "free market" and then cutback on everything. See where that has taken us ? Time to scrap all those foreign Anglo-American ideas and go back to things that actually worked and rebuild a ton of clinics and hospitals and return to the good-old mutual assistance funds combined with private care.

If we didn't have the migrants here - that would be much easier: when the remaining of the Silent Generation and the Boomers pass on, the country would, if it hadn't been for the migrants, fall back to between 8 to 10 million people which should, if the government was actually good at planning, allow for the decentralisation of the economy and the dispersal of the population over the country and thus a reduction in city size. This should give people the chance to have their own gardens and become more self-sufficient. But no.. the government is fucking stupid and brings in more people.

Yes, because let's be realistic;- charity begins at home. It's all very well sending foreign donations to other nations - but not practical at all when those nations giving funds are economically struggling with a crisis happening in their own countries too.

French border guards tried to cease 130,000 vital face masks from being sent to the UK.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8137039/French-border-guards-impound-trucks-filled-130-000-face-masks-bound-Britain.html

France and Germany also blocked the supplies of medical equipment from being sent to other EU states.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8083527/Germany-France-condemned-EU-members-blocking-export-medical-supplies.html

There's a problem with globalism and the fetish of unrestrained ‘free trade’. The virus has shown us that we should be as far as possible self sufficient in food, energy, & medicines.

A degree of dependency is unavoidable, but it should be with allies.

It's taken a virus to remind us that manufacturing capability is a strategic asset.

Let's hope this starts a new trend away from shipping a load of low-quality sh*t from China, and back to actually producing products of quality, which in turn leads to innovation and the creation of jobs in our own nations.

The Dutch ministry has recalled thousands of poor quality medical face masks that are currently being used by doctors and nurses in the NL, due to health & safety concerns. The mask are very poorly made and they don't protect the frontline medical staff from viruses. They're cheap and poor quality masks which are made in China. (China has poor standards and are getting mega-rich out of the selling and filling the rest of the world with low-quality junk from China.)

And it clearly shows that we can't rely on anybody. I actually think that strategic companies like Hoogovens, Shell, Unilever, KLM (and all other Netherlands-based airliners), all the big banks, public transportation companies, the housing corporations, health insurance firms, hospitals, the technological, pharmaceutical and agricultural research facilities and pharmaceutical industry should be nationalised immediately - and if owned by foreigners - without any compensation and all manufacturing should be brought home. The infrastructure (including the (air/sea) ports should be placed under government ownership as well. All Dutch gold in foreign banks should be returned as well.

Oh, an update on my earlier posts on the amount of EU fund money that the EU presidents have recently sent in Covid-19 aid to non-EU nations.

I previously stated the recently reported figure that the EU sent €20 million in Covid-19 aid to Iran - and another recently reported figure of €150 million in covid-19 aid from the EU to Morocco.

My favourite Dutch politician (and the leader of the biggest opposition party in the Netherlands - the anti EU and anti Islamisation and anti mass immigration PVV,) has stated in the last hour that the EU has actually now sent €450 million in Covid-19 aid to Morocco!!

#corona #Nexit

https://twitter.com/geertwilderspvv/status/1244711815730409472

Translated from Dutch:

The EU gives 450 million euros to Morocco (non-member of the EU, 534 Corona patients) for Corona aid and 25 million euros to the Netherlands (EU member and 11,750 Corona patients).

I say NEXIT

Btw, the Netherlands is the largest contributor to the EU - per capita.

The EU Presidents puts more priority into giving EU funds to a non EU funding and non-European nation like Morocco with far less corona patients, than into funding the EU state of the Netherlands which has far more corona patients and is facing a shortage of hospital beds and ventilators. :picard1:

I wonder if it's more blackmail money to prevent Morocco and Iran from sending hoards more migrants to the EU. Just like Turkey blackmails the EU for money, otherwise they open their border for millions of illegal migrants to invade Europe like Turkey recently did to Greece.

Appalling.

Yes, it's always the same excuse that leftish governments make; 'We need migrants to take care of the elderly in western populations.'

Well, no we don't. That's just an excuse for low-pay economic migrants. Also these leftish politicians have no conscience about importing migrants for cheaper pay, depriving the native people in their counry of finding opportunities for work, and poaching doctors and nurses from other nations (who also need doctors and nurses in their nations too,) to serve themselves.

https://twitter.com/BelindadeLucy/status/1241104130174791688

Unbelievable selfishness from left-wing Labour politicians who now want to import 90,000 labourers from Bulgaria and Romania (Roma gypsies most likely) into the UK (which is currently on lockdown,) to tend to our farms so that our fruits and vegetables don't die.

https://twitter.com/Nigel_Farage/status/1244341326935621632

Importing 90,000 migrants into a nation on lockdown due to CV19 will place the migrants at risk of getting Covid-19, could also bring more cases of CV19 into our island... plus millions of UK people are currently out of work and cooped up at home and would love to be able to have some work and extra money at the moment. Plenty of students seek summertime work picking fruits, but the jobs are often given to Roma gypsies for cheaper pay.

Even the notorious Sky news presenter Kay Burleigh let rip on this Labour MP and Shadow Environment Secretary for his desire now to bring 90,000 migrants into the UK to do farm work: https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1262160/Sky-News-Kay-Burley-European-workers-coronavirus-news-UK-latest-COVID19-cases-pandemic What about UK workers seeking jobs right now?! And the clueless Labour party wonders why they suffered their worst ever election defeat since the 1930's last December!

If anything we need to slim down the next generation - so that the next generation isn't overpopulated... otherwise each generation will keep increasing in order to look after the elderly. Bringing in millions more younger migrants will just make the next generation overpopulated.... and how many more will need to look after them when they're elderly?

There needs to be a healthy ratio and balance between the elderly and the working age people... and currently the boomers are a large part of the populations in countries such as Italy.

Overpopulation brings down the quality of life for people who are forced to pay congestion charges to drive in overcrowded cities, high-rise dangerous tower blocks of cheap flats are made to accommodate people, high rent prices, less land available, overcrowded public transport, etc.

And it was the drug-addicted hippy boomer generation (the most selfish generation who caused economic debts on the younger generations and who now struggle to get a morgage and house,) who espoused an unnatural ideology of 'peace and love and tolerance for everyone.' They were drugged out of their minds in the 1960s.

I've seen posts and photos and videos in the previous week on social media showing plenty of older people from the boomer generation who are still socialising in parks with their friends, chain-smoking, bragging about how they've lived their lives and stating on radio talk shows how they don't care if they die as they've already lived a good life.... and not caring about endangering people who haven't lived their lives.

A 21 year old female with no underlying health problems recently died from Covid-19 in the UK. Nobody is invincible to CV19 even if the risks of dying are lower in the younger generation. There's teenagers with asthma who are also at risk. An 18 year old has also died in the UK from CV19. A 36 year old frontline nurse in the UK is currently in intensive care with Covid-19.

Amsterdam should just have 300.000, 350.00 people instead of the over 1 million now. and still get rid of the most densely populated areas (blowing up most post-war neighbourhoods) and spread the population. The canal houses shouldn't offices or the fifth or sixth house of some rich foreign asshole or used for speculation but actually be lived in by normal families which pass them on through family lines. Instead of having only a small floor to live on, should families in the outer boroughs receive the second and third floor as well and have a garden. Actual psychical offices may, in the era of working from home, well be a thing of the past anyway so the areas now used for office parks that are dead zones after dark, could be given to people who want to build homes or used for agriculture. And that should be the biggest city in the country. The others, in the era of mechanisation and robotisation don't even need to be that big. Large university campuses are also out of date - except, perhaps, for technical and medical universities as most colleges can be followed online from home.

This crisis proves that now. A lot of shopping can also be done online so big chain stores and supermarkets can easily go online and small shops can also run online delivery services (via drones).

Can shopping still be done online in the NL?

In the UK there's no delivery slots available at all in most online supermarkets. It's all booked for the next month and the supermarkets here won't take anymore bookings until they have more drivers available.

Delivery slots are prioritised for the elderly and also for the vulnerable people with disabilities, and food boxes are also being delivered to them by 750,000 volunteers who signed-up within just 48 hours of the call to help.

I'm anaphylactic, (I struggle to breathe and talk during a severe allergic reaction,) and rely on my life-saving EpiPen injections during an emergency, before calling paramedics.

Many allergy sufferers are complaining that supermarket shelves here have been stripped of basic foods by selfish panic-buyers who are hoarding all the foods.... and anaphylactic people can't buy alternative foods or it could kill them.

I only usually eat one meal a day and I'm a very light eater, but I can't find any delivery slots online... and every trip to the supermarket is risky. We have new supermarket rules in place now to limit the amount of products people can buy and distances people must stand in shops.

If an anaphylactic person comes into contact with traces of something they're allergic to... or kisses or touches someone who has recently touched or eaten something that they're allergic to (eg;- a person has recently eaten or handled nuts, latex gloves, etc,) and has traces of the substance in their saliva or on their hands.... it can trigger a 'kiss of death' (as shown in this video clip https://twitter.com/oakley_red/status/1149129036662222849) due to a severe allergic reaction via cross-contamination which causes anaphylactic shock... where a person suddenly struggles to breathe, talk, collapses, and falls unconscious and suddenly dies.

It is possible here in most supermarkets and they do home deliveries (just not via drone like they do in China - but that would actually be a good idea). As for products for people with allergies: I am not experienced enough in that field to tell you more about that..

In the UK we're in lockdown and we are not allowed to go outside unless it's for essential work that can't be done at home... or unless it's for food, medicine, or to exercise locally once a day.

We're not allowed to be around more than one person who doesn't live with us.

We're not allowed to stand within 2 metres of another person.

We're not allowed to visit friends or relatives.

The UK police have been issuing a lot of fines here to people who break the rules.

Drones are being used to watch UK people walking in remote areas that are far from their homes. People who drive out to remote areas to escape from congested areas have been given fines - because if they have an accident or their car breaks down, the paramedics or mechanics will have to travel further to help them.

Telephone hotlines to the police are being used to report people who are standing in a group, or who are leaving their houses more than once a day.

Cars are frequently being stopped by police to ask where they're going. Lots of fines are being issued as shown in the media.

The police are being very strict here at the moment. Overly strict in many reported cases by stopping shops from selling easter eggs and hot cross buns.

Shopping bags have been checked by police with people being fined if they were shopping for non-essential items. Non essential shops, salons, hairdressers, theatres, cinemas, bars, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, religious gathering places, etc, are all now closed on government lockdown orders. Public transport has been limited too.

Domestic abuse victims are petrified as home is not a sanctuary for them. A murdered 60-something year old woman was today the first case of a domestic abuse murder since the isolation rules came into effect last week. Domestic abuse cases are now expected to reach an epidemic, so special allowances have been made by the government for them to be able to seek refuge in safe houses.

Thousands of people are complaining on social media that they're now suffering from insomnia and can't sleep at night due to inactivity during the day, are feeling extremely anxious and fearful of dying or losing their loved ones without being able to see them or say goodbye as they die, and are lacking vitamin D, are feeling lonely, depressed, and suicidal, etc. It's having an effect on peoples mental health.

We're allowed to exercise once a day outside in the fresh air and sunshine to help our immune system and physical health. Not everyone has a garden.

Boris Johnson advised us to socially isolate at first... but selfish people continued to gather in large crowds in parks, parties, bbq's, and flocking in crowds to the beaches.... so now he's grounded us all and the police will fine those who break the isolation rules.

London is now a ghost city: https://twitter.com/BBCNews/status/1243931652004478977

The Prime Minister, his senior adviser, the health secretary, and the chief medical adviser to the government are all in isolation at home with Covid-19. Prince Charles recently recovered from the virus.

The government conducts press conferences each day via internet-video link to journalists in their homes. Parliament is currently shut down here.

You can hear the birds sing, the air is cleaner, no police sirens being heard, no laughter or chatter on the pavements outside, no traffic... it's very strange.

You find out who your real friends and allies are only during a crisis. The only thing EU did for Europeans was increase taxes and immigration.

Oh, it did more .... for example it determinated (set the standard) how curve the pickle can be.
https://www.metropoli.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/kurkku.jpg
So now many pickles we grow in small scale organic farming (back at home) are not anymore allowed to sale at shops/markets.
No matter that ours would be more healthy (no chemicals used), more fresh and taste better. Well... we sell them directly to our neighbours (or simply change something they produce).

But there is another path Italy may choose: intensifying bilateral relations with the United States, becoming the nexus of commerce in the Mediterranean, increasing its presence in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, and reclaiming its role as a center of Christianity and Catholicism in the world.

There are only two countries in Europe we can rely on: Germany and Russia. Russia is helping and Germany is helping as well. Dutch patients are currently brought to German hospitals because our f... government destroyed our German-built healthcare system (one of the best Europe ever had) and replaced it with "the free market" in order to use the money to help Southern Europe. They were warned that this could cause trouble and there were real shortages - they have known this for four years - but then they went ahead anyway.

The EU is Europe and the pandemic spread from China. All European countries at the moment are in the throes of the Coronavirus so they are trying to deal with it. The only way to stop the spread of the Coronavirus is to go into isolation and stop people socialising and mix as less as possible. I don't think any single country should have global dominance over all the rest. We should have a more balanced world.

We also need to stop mass-buying from China, and stop globalists from shipping jobs abroad to China and India.

Big government control and a NWO means that people do not have fair representation and accountability.

Even if an EU state has over 50 democratically elected MEPs to represent their country in the EU parliament, they're overshadowed by all the other MEPs from other EU states in parliamentary votes. So if the MEPs from their EU state vote against something... and the rest of the EU states MEPs vote in favour of it, they're instantly outnumbered. An economic policy which may work in one state may not work well in another state.

That's why big governments fail. It's not fair representation when they're outnumbered in a parliament that's full of loads of other MEPs who they didn't elect to represent their nation's interests. Whether it's an increase in budgeting demands from certain states, or open borders, etc.

Add in unelected presidents, all the transport costs for MEPs to travel to and from the EU parliaments in Brussels and Strasbourg each year... and the costs each year for all the interpretators and translators required for the debates in lots of different languages... funded by the tax payers.

And then there's the issue of large funding to numerous other states, when services are forced to make large cuts in their own nations as a result.

Forced political unions upon people (like the EUSSR) often leads to disharmony, dictatorships, greed, hostility, and eventual divides.

Nations can be good neighbours and allies without having forced political unions. Smaller local governments in each nation gives the people more power to have control over electing who governs them. If they don't like the way their country is being run or the decisions which are made by a government, they have more power to remove them and replace them. They can't do that with very big governments full of MEPs from other nations who they didn't elect to represent their interests.

I just think we should have our own industry just like we used to have before the 1970s and as for Europe: I think we should have as little to do with it as possible. We look overseas.

Basically - a modernised version of this:

https://wps.ablongman.com/wps/media/objects/419/429222/illustrations/WALL5295378.gif

We should be a little Germany without colonies but one that imports raw resources and exports real quality.

One wouldn't know it now but the Netherlands lost a vast amount of industry to globalism: the entire shipping industry, shipbuilding, much of the manufacturing base, pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, textiles, machine building, computers, trains, aeroplanes (Fokker), cars, mining and whole port facilities are gone. I remember the old Amsterdam port still resembling something like here at 2:35 (film dating back to 1962 - I remember the late 1980s, early 1990s when the whole area was already collapsing and being cleared - now those are "trendy" housing areas for yuppies).

The EU is not Europe, and the two should never be confused.

Europe = 44 countries.

EU member states = 27 nations (states controlled by the EU.)

Like so many Brexiteers, I'm pro European and I love Europe as sovereign nations with their own cultures preserved... but I despise the corrupt EU/Eurabia. Many EU states have the same culture now with mass Islamisation in Paris, London, Malmo, Amsterdam, Marseille, Birmingham, etc. Frequent Islamic terrorist attacks and numerous crimes from mass migrants.

Guy Verhotwat and other Eurocrats constantly try to manipulate Europeans into thinking that Eurosceptics are 'anti-European.' The exact opposite is true! It's the Eurocrats who run the EU who are anti-European and they want to erase our democracy, remove more and more of our soveriegn powers with each EU treaty signing, bankrupt our economies, and turn Europe into Eurabia. Eurosceptics across Europe are anti-EU and pro-European as we care about preserving our unique European cultures, languages, economies, and identities, etc.

People travel to experience new cultures... not to see the same mass Islamic culture in EU states.

I'm all for good friendships, a free trade agreement (although I think it's beneficial for nations to be as self-sufficient as possible,) being good neighbours and allies... but I don't agree with a forced political union and a single European superstate.

We have similarities with other Europeans - but also many differences too across Europe in our unique cultures and national needs.

Our languages should also be preserved too. The EU wants a single EU language in the future... just like they wanted to lock everyone into the Eurozone with the single Euro currency... and have an EU flag, national EU anthem, etc. You don't need all that imposed onto Europeans in order to be allies, or to have an FTA and good friendships with other nations.

The EU is bureaucratic ('Eurocratic!') and the unelected Eurocrat Presidents who run the organisation have proven time and time again to be extremely anti-democratic (removing democratically elected governments and replacing them with pro-EU puppet governments, ignoring democratic referendum results and forcing second referendums on people, etc,) and are an enemy of Europeans.

I've heard angry Greek people and others across Europe chanting this warning about the EU during large anti-EU protests shown in videos. They've warned Europeans for many years now to wake-up.

The EU has destroyed our unique cultures and has caused millions of Europeans to economically suffer.... just look at all the angry protests in many EU states over the years (and especially in recent times) against the EU by angry farmers and bailout fallouts, and other problems. Hence the rise of many Eurosceptic parties across the EU states.

It is not in European peoples interests to have their democratic referendums ignored by those who claim to be 'democratic', have unelected EU presidents, open immigration laws, the vast majority of their laws made by people who they never elected in the EU parliament in Brussels, and for their nations to be turned into Eurabia. (Islamic states of Europe.)

Italy is being severely punished by the large EU fines of €80,000 per day until they pay the EU €8.5 million in other EU fines that's been cruelly imposed onto them by the bureaucratic EU - during a time of extreme economic hardship and emotional suffering.

Meanwhile the EU has sent €450 million in covid-19 aid to Morocco (non-member of the EU, 534 Corona patients) and €20 million in covid-19 aid to Iran (another non-member.) The EU has given 25 million euros to the Netherlands (EU funding member that has 11,750 Corona patients.)

With 'friends' like the EU, who needs enemies?!

There is no way to volunteer. We're told to stay at home. There are no masks available, no protective gear. Do you want me to get infected and infect a dozen others ?

We can't send masks from America, because President Trump shipped them to the People's Republic of China (PRC), during the first week of February. We don't have enough masks here (sorry), and there's a good possibility that masks sent to the EU, from PRC, actually were made in the USA.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/29/opinions/coronavirus-personal-protective-equipment-obeidallah/index.html

Concerns about a dwindling supply of PPE [Personal Protective Equipment] are not new. Back on February 7, the World Health Organization sounded alarm bells about "the limited stock of PPE," noting demand was 100 times higher than normal for this equipment.

Yet the same day as the WHO warning, the Trump administration announced that it was transporting to China nearly 17.8 tons (more than 35,000 pounds) of "masks, gowns, gauze, respirators, and other vital materials." As Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted in the press release announcing this shipment, "These donations are a testament to the generosity of the American people."

The Peace Corps is for the first time in its history halting its operations globally and evacuating all of its volunteers, a drastic step for the small U.S. agency that shows the knock-on effects of the global coronavirus pandemic even in developing countries still untouched by the outbreak.

Next time when you yanks go invade some small country and need some European troops to give yourself a veneer of respectability and legitimacy - I doubt whether any European country (at this point.. maybe only Poland or so), would be so willing to support you. It's not like the U.S.A is so exceedingly popular on this side of the Atlantic now. China on the other hand ? They won that battle for hearts and minds.

Anyone who is pro EU might as well just have the word 'arseh*le' written on their head. They support a corrupt organisation which has caused mass protests and much suffering upon ordinary European folk.

Well Guy Verhoftwat gets a big salary (like Angela Merkel)... so they're fanatical about forcing their EU upon Europeans. They live in secure houses in secluded and wealthy neighbourhoods and travel in private planes. Mass immigration doesn't affect them. They're not victims of mass Islamic grooming gangs. They're not the victims who are maimed and killed in Islamic terrorist attacks. They're happy to import economic migrants to save big wealthy companies a load of money for the rich, instead of paying laborers from their own nations.

The EU is not Europe, and the two should never be confused.

Europe = 44 countries.

There will always be a European continent... so long as we're not hit one day by a massive meteorite from space. :dunno: The US needs Europeans too as allies and trading partners. Australia, NZ, and Canada are British Commonwealth nations who all share the same Queen and head of state... and their royal militaries are allies with the UK... and the UK is an ally to the US, and vice versa. Other European nations are also allies to the US and vice versa.

The Netherlands and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI): The BRI is a Chinese program that it uses to create puppet states by saddling them with great debt loads. When client countries can't pay off, that's ok with China, because then they get the special concessions that they want. I don't see how the Netherlands would be able to be neutral if it was a client state of communist China.

Which was a loan at interest that Britain and also the Netherlands only paid off a couple of years ago. Which is quite funny btw... when you think of it because why would our industry need to be rebuilt ? You'd be surprised to know that the Germans didn't really blow up Dutch industry. You know who actually bombed most Dutch cities (including industrial areas): the United States Army Air Force. Today we call them the United States Air Force. And they often bombed those cities DELIBERATELY because they were weakly defended and the Americans could, if they had flown an X-amount of missions, go home. That's right: that's how Rotterdam (yes.. the other air raid), Hengelo, Enschede, Venlo, Nijmegen etc. etc. etc. got bombed.

Decades worth of propaganda in the media, academia and etc by the Zionist government of the US made them very different from what they were back in the day of George Washington till the end of Teddy Roosevelt's presidential term. America is a very changed country from it's former self - a country that the founding fathers deeply feared and despised. A country that is very similar to what you read in 1984 and Brand New World. Most of the Jewish cultural Marxists of Frankfurt left Germany for the US, and there they had established their base of operations for the country and the rest of the world thanks to globalism.

You're probably just a troll that doesn't speak Dutch but here is an article about Nijmegen: (https://nos.nl/artikel/2272941-nijmegen-herdenkt-vergissingsbombardement-dat-geen-vergissing-was.html)

Their original target had been in Germany but it was "too difficult" to get there so they bombed the first thing they could see.. which just happened to be Nijmegen and aimed for the railyard just outside the main train city - just outside the city centre. They took a deliberate risk with the lives of the civilian population and they hit the city itself. This example of pure vandalism killed over 800 people and destroyed much of the old city.

In the first place, Donald Trump actually got fewer American Votes, in 2016, but the Electoral College Votes put him over the top. Trump was able to win in less populous states which gave him more electoral college votes, while states like California and New York were underrepresented.

Vote Count in 2016: 65,853,514 for Hillary Clinton Versus 62,984,828 for Donald Trump.
Electoral College 2016 Votes: 227 for Hillary Clinton Versus 304 for Donald Trump.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_United_States_presidential_election

In the second place, Hillary Clinton was a weak candidate, with a mediocre track-record as Secretary of State. Even I voted for Trump in 2016, because of his false promises. But, I won't vote for Trump this time; either, I'll vote for Biden, or I'll vote 3rd Party. Yet again, we have a mediocre candidate pitched against Trump, but many people feel like me, and are determined to kick him out in 2020, even if Biden is the man to do it.

President Trump is a master manipulator, with a very well organized backing, so he gets an advantage that way, but his narcissism looks ugly to a lot of us.

There are countries that still didn't got their independence like Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and yet, when it comes to the quality of life for it's citizens is far beyond more better than the US which it's own healthcare system is the worst in the developed world. Muhammad Ali Pasha was Albanian, and he ruled both Egypt and Sudan with an Iron fist, and really, it was thanks to him that the Arabic literature and culture blossomed which was oppressed under the Ottoman empire. If anything really, the Old World doesn't need the US as much as the US needs the Old World. You need to be reminded that it was Europeans who founded America, and your ancestors came from Europe. Respect your forefathers than looking down on them and so on.

It's more complex than that, and you probably know that already. But, I'm getting ready to sing at a Zoom Rehearsal Conference (1 hour from now), so I'll have to be brief. Anyway, you're right that there's a good possibility that he'll be reelected, but it's by no means a sure thing.

The popular vote means nothing in the United States so he'll probably win it. But by 2024, the United States will be politically very isolated. Not our problem, though.

WIthout the EU and NATO, Europe will pretty much return to .. well the 1920s maybe. Without colonies though but that's o.k. Like the 1920s, the 2020s will be a period of economic and political recovery and this time around there is no unstable Germany, no fascist Italy and no communist Russia so that's a bonus. America will probably go into a period of political isolation (just as they like it to be so).. until China comes calling but that will be their problem. We'll be far too busy to pay notice to it. Maybe something for the last page of the newspaper. After the sports pages. Maybe. If interesting enough.

They are not going to be able to do much since the Med will likely be closed to them. Maybe they will fuck with the Middle East a bit more - causing more countries to work with China and harming America's own economic prospects in the long run. What they seek to destroy they accept. The Jews already run their minds.

In psychology, displacement (German: Verschiebung, "shift, move") is an unconscious defence mechanism whereby the mind substitutes either a new aim or a new object for goals felt in their original form to be dangerous or unacceptable.[1]

A term originating with Sigmund Freud,[2] displacement operates in the mind unconsciously, its transference of emotions, ideas, or wishes being most often used to allay anxiety in the face of aggressive or sexual impulses.

If you hate Jewes enough you accept any other form of domination be that from China or Muslims.

I partly agree with you. Meaning: I don't think that as many/average Europeans fairs China (yet) as you do (influences to Australia) or maybe Americans (as Trump has kept topic up).

Nope. For one coming in Finland .... Russia can never be a friend. Today one can question can USA be friend of European anymore either? American's population is less and less based on Europeans and even now as they have white president (voted by whites) ... relationships have become the worse than ever since WII.

EU's only problem is that Europe is ... too different. Some likes it because of it. Some even values it because of it ... via history, lots of cultures, languages, identities etc. BUT to create a political system like EU? Almost like: Mission impossible. That can not only be seen via Euro crises (Greece some time ago) or with lack of helps to Italy and Spain right now (Corona) ... but even via simply routine discussions in EU. No decisions are able to make ... as all countries are heavily looking for their own best interests only. There are no solidarity. None. And that has become just worse as EU has grown east. Eastern European countries have not made that easier, more like opposite. And there were already ealier gap between North and South.

I will say this now for a fact. I have tried to be patient, but right about now I have had enough, if it's up to me, Finland will form a union with Russia or China, than have any dealings with bozos and absolute retards to the West of our Nation.

When the Chinese payed Helsinki-Tallinna tunnel is ready, Finland will be essentially be client state of China.

It is all about economics and then about trust. Every nation tries to find out how to benefit of EU and other countries. People stop trusting because in the north people think that the south tries to cheat, in the south that the north tries to cheat. We heard stories how Greeks cheated EU before their economic collapse. We know that Sweden uses exchange rates to beat Finnish companies. We all are aware of German and British ways to benefit EU's home markets by lending money without moral to keep consumer business growing, because they know that at the end we all have to pay.

We did not cheat our way into the EU. But our way into the Eurozone. I've said this a few other times, but before we joined in 1981, Greece was a truly prosperous country. It was truly independent in almost all sectors, especially the economic one. Our debt was barely 13% in 1980, our growth was 9,3% on average for 32 years and we never had deficits on either state budgets or trade balance.

We had our industry, without needing any foreign company. Industry accounted for 55-60% of Greece's GDP. In 1981, Greece's GDP was 140 billion, which was on a per capita basis, according to the World Bank, 14,542 euros, that is almost 20,000$ back then. We were richer than most European countries then. Anyways, from the 140 billion in total, about 75-80 billion were from industrial activities. We produced everything on our own, and we were exporting in other countries as well. We produced our own appliances, our own buses and trolleys and trains even and our own tanks for our army. Our own tractors even. We didn't need to import anything. Then the "free markets EU" came in and destroyed everything.

And then, our agriculture. There we achieved full autarky. But again, thank the "free markets" for wrecking it down.

Irish evolved to be bigger delusional liberals than Germans.

Enjoy your gay marriage, abortion, falling birth rate and soon mass immigration.

Visit Malmö to see your future

No they aren't as liberal as the Germans and I don't think the Irish will let in as many immigrants as Germany and Sweden. The countries awarding the highest rate of refugee settlement in relation to their size are Austria, Germany and Sweden. Ireland has the highest birthrate in the EU and lowest death rate.

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/ireland-has-highest-birth-rate-and-lowest-death-rate-in-eu-1.3952983

So look at your own country and stop blaming the EU. It is up to you the politicians you elect. Surely if Germans aren't happy about the amount of immigration they can start electing parties that will listen to them.

It was Angela Merkel who invited over 1,000,000 refugees into Germany. Other EU countries weren't quite as enthused.

It's certainly one of the reasons, however I know for a fact that the first case in Germany was a Chinese businessman, which was also the case for Italy apparently. Europe's main problem is the fact it doesn't guard its external borders out of fear of losing tourists and economic partnerships.

This is why we can opt for neutrality. Which, at least, allows us to meet Russia and China with more options than we have now and treat them fairer than we do now. Because now we are forced into taking certain stances purely because that benefits America's bankers and arms manufacturers. This is why we should finish North Stream II and update the infrastructure through Germany and into the Netherlands and also link up Denmark and Sweden.

This is why China and the European countries could work on updating the China-Europe Railway, create a highway network through Russia and Kazachstan and update the ports in the Med. and along the North Sea and Atlantic Coast.

We need to get the fuck out of toxic relationship. Neutrality and an open view towards China and Russia is the only proper option. I'm truly baffled. If people are that easily manipulated then I really don't know what to say. I have nothing against the Chinese. I like them on an individual basis but I wouldn't trust China for all the tea in China. :) China is in competition with Europe. People here wishing the EU would break up are just wanting the power balance of the world to go to China, US and other large economies. Germany is not big enough on her own to have the clout to compete with these countries. The only hope is for the EU to band together as a bit of a counterweight. It is up to the citizens of European countries to say what direction they want the EU to go to. If Europeans kick up enough about too many refugees or any other issues they are concerned about you bet ya your Governments will take note. How many Europeans vote in elections? Turn out is never great from what I've read. I guess it is easier to blame the EU for your problems instead of being proactive and going to your MPs and stating what you're not happy about. It just seems really passive for people to just whinge and be blaming the EU without looking at themselves and thinking they don't have any say in what happens in the EU or any power when they are the people that can vote these politicians in or out.

We've seen what the EU does: nothing. We have seen what America does: nothing. Manipulated ? No. China and Russia actually help us because it's a human duty to help. The EU has been wiping out our economies for the last 20 years. Maybe Australia should join a kind of NATO with America and see how you think in twenty years.

one thing why so many Europeans are annoyed of the EU is the way how EU leaders handle sanctions against China and Russia. Most of those sanctions benefit only US firms and are harmful for European firms. People see that their leaders are sheeps in the game of big boys and girls and it hurts so much to see it.

Well they are free to leave if they wish. I just don't think the Dutch will. They've been there from the start so it would be pretty radical for them to give up on it now. The last few years have been very different than previously with the way the US and UK voted, also Sinn Fein in Ireland; (any other countries that have voted unusual leaders or parties?) There is obviously a lot of unhappiness with certain parts of the population. I think the working class people are showing their displeasure with how they have been treated. Unfortunately we don't have great leaders at the moment. People shouldn't be passive though and should start using their votes to show they are annoyed. Put the blame at the right quarters though but a lot of the public can be easily manipulated.

Dutch government minister Hoekstra: yes money will go to Southern Europe. Money will be taken away from our hospitals so we will get more deaths. His party is going to lose the elections for a long, long time now. He signed his own political death warrant and that of the EU.

As the news now reminds us (https://nos.nl/artikel/2328933-rivm-stijging-doden-en-ziekenhuisopnames-zet-door-groei-brabant-neemt-af.html):

Het aantal overledenen als gevolg van het coronavirus is met 175 toegenomen, meldt het RIVM. In totaal zijn nu voor zover bekend 1039 mensen in Nederland overleden aan het virus. Na Italië en Spanje heeft Nederland het hoogste aantal coronadoden per inwoner ter wereld.

But they omit why this is the case: because the government and the EU have been taking been money out of our hospitals and closing down wards for the last 10 years so we could bail out Southern Europe. Shutting down half of our ICU units and closing down a lot of our hospitals. But, yes, money has to go to Southern Europe. Turns out: pharmacies are even rationing pain killers right now. You can only get 3 pieces but pay for the whole lot.

Trump’s Losing Blame Game (https://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/trump-blame-china-covid-9-pandemic-by-vali-nasr-2020-03)

Mar 30, 2020 Vali Nasr (https://www.project-syndicate.org/columnist/vali-nasr)

As US President Donald Trump desperately seeks to shift blame for his own inept leadership, China is laying the groundwork for global leadership in the post-COVID-19 era. Thanks to Trump, the US will almost certainly lose the great-power competition – and countless lives.

WASHINGTON, DC – A pandemic is enveloping the world, endangering the lives and livelihoods of millions of people, and US President Donald Trump is thinking about how to get the upper hand vis-à-vis China. But his obsession with winning this great-power competition – exemplified by his administration’s petty insistence on calling COVID-19 the “Chinese virus (https://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/newsfeed/2020/03/trump-defends-calling-coronavirus-chinese-virus-200323102618665.html)” or the “Wuhan virus (https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/25/politics/g7-coronavirus-statement/index.html)” – is making victory less likely every day.

Nobody doubts that the COVID-19 coronavirus first appeared in China. Nor does anyone deny that Chinese bureaucrats were wrong to suppress information about it (https://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/coronavirus-disease-of-communist-party-government-by-minxin-pei-2020-01) early on, rather than taking immediate action to contain it. But, for most of the world, what matters is not so much where the pandemic started, but how it will end. And, as it stands, China is doing a lot more to help end the outbreak than the United States is.

Despite their early missteps, it did not take long for China’s leaders to recognize their initial mistake and take decisive action. The government sealed off affected areas, locked down a huge swath of the population, built designated COVID-19 hospitals, and ramped up production of necessary equipment, including test kits, masks, and ventilators.

The lockdowns may have been draconian, but China’s strategy seems to have worked. Within a few weeks, new infections began to decline, and new local infections have reportedly stopped (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/18/world/asia/china-coronavirus-zero-infections.html). Steps are now being taken to ease (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/24/world/asia/china-coronavirus-lockdown-hubei.html) the lockdown.Unlike China, the US had plenty of warning that COVID-19 was coming. But, rather than take action, Trump downplayed the threat, dithered before fulfilling his pledge (https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/27/politics/general-motors-ventilators-defense-production-act/index.html) to use the Defense Production Act to force private companies to manufacture vital equipment, and refused (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/24/opinion/coronavirus-trump-lockdown.html) to impose a nationwide shelter-in-place order.

Moreover, apparently fearing for his re-election prospects amid economic crisis, Trump announced (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/24/us/politics/trump-coronavirus-easter.html) his intention to “reopen” the US economy by Easter, only to reverse himself (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/29/us/politics/trump-coronavirus-guidelines.html?action=click&module=Spotlight&pgtype=Homepage) as the number of cases and deaths soared. Simply put, he has prioritized politics over public health – precisely what he criticized Chinese officials for doing when COVID-19 emerged. The World Health Organization’s recent warning (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-who-usa/united-states-could-become-coronavirus-epicenter-who-idUSKBN21B1FT) that the US could become the new epicenter of the pandemic seems to have been borne out: the country now has the world’s highest number (https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/26/health/coronavirus-thousand-deaths-thursday/index.html) of cases.

Meanwhile, parts of Europe are struggling to cope with the outbreak, with Italy and Spain having now surpassed (https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html%22%20%5Cl%20%22/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6) China in COVID-19 deaths. This, together with Trump’s leadership failures, has lent credence to claims that China’s state-led governance model is better equipped than democratic systems – often politically deadlocked and dysfunctional – to respond to “black swans” (major unexpected shocks).

The US may succeed in its bid to prevent its allies from adopting Chinese telecommunications technology. But it cannot stop the world from emulating China’s approach to public health or social organization if it proves effective during the COVID-19 crisis. And, so far, China’s track record is pretty convincing.

Photographs of planeloads of Chinese doctors and medical equipment arriving in places like Rome and Tehran, disseminated across social media worldwide, have raised China’s international profile further. Now, countries are seeking China’s help. After the European Union reduced exports of medical equipment, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić appealed (https://balkaninsight.com/2020/03/16/serbia-imposes-state-of-emergency-pleads-for-chinas-help/) to “his friend and brother,” Chinese President Xi Jinping to provide the necessary goods. A few days later, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen publicly thanked (https://twitter.com/vonderleyen/status/1240300837068582915) China for its contributions.

Nobody has asked – let alone thanked – the US for anything. And the US has not offered anything, driving home the utter lack of empathy on the part of Trump’s “America First” administration.

In fact, the Trump administration has actively undermined countries’ ability to respond to the humanitarian crisis. Not only has it refused to ease sanctions (https://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/economic-sanctions-during-pandemic-immoral-american-policy-by-jeffrey-d-sachs-and-francisco-rodr-guez-3-2020-03) on Cuba, Iran, and Venezuela; it likely contributed to the International Monetary Fund’s decision not to provide a $5 billion emergency loan to Venezuela.

What the Trump administration seems not to understand is that any country that fails to contain the virus keeps the entire world at risk. Retaining sanctions that cripple health-care systems, such as in Iran (the third-most-affected country), is not only morally reprehensible; it undermines America’s own interests, both by enabling the virus to continue to spread and by reinforcing the image of the US as a villain. Meanwhile, China – along with Russia – has urged the US to change its approach.

But the US is not only indifferent to the suffering of its adversaries; it also has little concern for its allies. Beyond offering zero assistance to its European partners, the Trump administration abruptly and unilaterally barred most European visitors from entering the US for 30 days – a move that caught European leaders by surprise, and which they roundly condemned (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/world/europe/europe-coronavirus-travel-ban.html).

Even more infuriating, however, was Trump’s brazen and predatory reported effort (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/16/not-for-sale-anger-in-germany-at-report-trump-seeking-exclusive-coronavirus-vaccine-deal) to secure rights to any COVID-19 vaccine developed by the German company CureVac (a US official called the report “wildly overplayed”). Europe is by now accustomed to Trump’s animus, but this was a bridge too far. There is no longer any shadow of a doubt that the EU cannot trust the US, let alone depend on it. Both China and Russia have long dreamed of such a transatlantic rift.

As Trump fusses over semantics in a transparent and pathetic effort to shift blame for his own inept leadership, China is laying the groundwork for global leadership in the post-COVID-19 era. Thanks to Trump, the US will almost certainly lose the great-power competition – and countless lives.

Dutch submarine cuts off mission after corona alert on board (https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/03/dutch-submarine-cuts-off-mission-after-corona-alert-on-board/)
Dutch navy submarine MS Dolfijn has broken off a mission in the North Sea near the coast of Scotland because several members of its crew have been diagnosed with coronavirus. In total, 15 members of the 58-strong crew reported sick with slight flu symptoms, including coughing and a slightly raised temperature. Tests showed eight members of the crew had or had recovered from coronavirus, the defence ministry said. The submarine is now returned to its base in Den Helder two weeks ahead of schedule. The crew will be quarantined on their arrival.

Dutch corona death toll tops 1,000, but in Brabant there is improvement (https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/03/dutch-corona-death-toll-tops-1000-but-in-brabant-there-is-improvement/)
Dutch hospitals have admitted a further 722 coronavirus patients in the past 24 hours, the national health institute RIVM said in its Tuesday update. This is well above the 507 new patients reported on Monday and takes the total hospital admissions up to 4,712. Of them, 1,070 are being treated in intensive care. The death toll rose by 175 to 1,039 but not all the deaths occurred in the past 24 hours the RIVM said. The death toll only includes people who have been tested for coronavirus and who have later died.

The number of positive tests rose by 845 to 12,595. Testing in the Netherlands is largely restricted to people with major symptoms and hospital staff, although moves are underway to expand the testing base. The province of Noord-Brabant, where the Dutch outbreak first took hold, would now appear to be over the peak when it comes to hospital admissions,’ the RIVM said. However, the number of admissions in Zuid-Holland, Noord-Holland, Gelderland and Limburg continue to increase.

The number of hospital admissions has a key role in deciding if government measures to contain the spread of the virus are having an impact. The government will announce on Tuesday evening that the current social distancing and other measures will continue for the time being.

Its basically how the establishment works.

They want people to see either the Chinese or Russians as bad. Its part of the narrative.
Vlad the Bad, or Chicoms at every step.

Most people dont think beyond and accept it.

If he and Alex Jones were honest on who are the oligarchs who are controlling the establishment then they should expose them. The fact on the matter is that you can talk shit against the Russians and the Chinese without any political consequences while even slight criticism of a certain (((people))) and their homeland in the middle east would end up you losing your entire career does speak great volumes on the whole thing. As a say goes "if you want to know who rules over you find out who you cannot criticize", and really, you and I know a certain nation in the middle east that you can never criticize for anything. Trump just recently passed the executive order forbidding anyone talking about them in college campuses, and yet, you still have Trump shills here who justify his actions against the first amendment.

I think we should cancel all orders for the F35 for the same plane as an interim while the technology of the F35 is poached for a future Dutch fighter plane. I think the government should revive Fokker - only this time under State ownership and have it buy all future planes for both the Air Force, Naval Aviation Service and Dutch airliners. They should build the combat helicopters as well.

I've already heard rumors that Trump has made some veiled and not so veiled threats that if Finland does not choose F-35 he could make life harder for Fi-businesses @US markets. In any case, it is likely corona messes the economy so much that fighter purchase will be delayed.

Let's call this for what it is: American propaganda. America is simply afraid of losing its power and I hope they lose it. I hope that America will get to see Chinese naval ships off the coast of California and not being able to do anything about it.

Speaking for myself, I don't even want power over other countries, I simply want for America to be able to provide for and defend itself. I also think that communist China is a mortal threat to all of us, and so it's a really good idea if Europe, America, and other countries cooperate to meet their threat.

The CCP is so morally depraved that they murder political prisoners in order to harvest their bodily organs. To find a regime as bad or worse, you might have to go back to Genghis Khan or possibly even the ancient Canaanites, who sacrificed their children to the demonic "god" Molech.

If we were living during the early 1980's, then a moral equivalent of your last sentence is this: hoping that a Soviet fleet appeared off the Dutch coast, and the Dutch people weren't able to do anything about it. Of course, I don't want that, not in the least. I'm looking forward to the day when both the Netherlands and the U.S. emerge from under COVID-19, and we get on with our lives.

The only one who didn't receive anything (compared to what we give to EU) is Italy and we are one of the largest net contributors of this "Union". At least they should give us back our money. If Germany re-unification was possible is also thx to Italian money i hope they don't forget this. :)

In the case of the Netherlands, there is nothing that can be given and even now Rutte is giving more money to avert further criticism which will, of course, be taken out of health and welfare.. We can thus say that Italy kills Dutch people in order to survive itself. We should leave the European Union. Germany is helping us (moving Dutch patients to German hospitals in order to take the load of our collapsing system as they have done the same with Italian and French patients) - none of the Southerners ever helped us. This is your idea of solidarity, I guess ? The North must die or be impoverished so the South may continue its Club Med lifestyle after this epidemic. It always goes one way. The only answer is a Nexit.

As a nationalists i little care to what happens to other nations in EU but i'm pretty sure Italy don't want to "ruin" the "Northern Club" in order save itself but even so i want to remark that we are one of the hardest hit countries by this virus and that some countries are acting arrogantly just for own economy. Germany is minding its OWN business while people especially in Southern Europe are dying because of this virus and our industry is fallen so why they can be nationalists and Italy is not allowed to? :dunno:

This is why i think Italy should just return to print its own money so we don't risk to "damage" other EU states because this common currency is ruled by Germany and we don't need to ask their permission or the one of others states every time.

Italy can't receive Dutch patients for two obvious reasons:
1 - we are too far.
2 - Italy has bigger problems than Netherlands. PErhaps when things will settle here before other EU countries (infections seem are decreasing, only around 1000+ new cases yesterday) Italy will start helping but don't hope too much. We most likely will be very careful to not import other cases that can cause a dangerous second wave of infections.

This crisis taught us a simple lesson: we are just a piggy bank while the Germans are the only ones who care. Not even the Belgians give a shit about us. Consequently: we should leave the European Union altogether and dump the Euro and when the Germans go (and they will not be far behind us), we will just return to the old system of pegging our Guilder to their D-Mark.

And France

https://www.politicopathy.com/2020/04/03/france-forced-to-return-face-masks-it-confiscated-from-spain-a-few-weeks-ago-after-pressure-from-the-swedish-government/

FRANCE has been forced to return the face masks they confiscated from Spain a few weeks ago.

An order of four millions face masks was scheduled to arrive from the Swedish company Molnlycke – based in Lyon – to Spain.

However, on March 5 the French Government confiscated the masks.

Two days earlier, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, had signed a decree that allows the Government to requisition all necessary products in the fight against the pandemic.

After 15 days of intense pressure from the Swedish Government, France was forced to release the masks to both Spain and Italy which were the original destinations.

They only allowed two million masks though, with the rest remaining in France either to be used there or for re-exporting.

Following the incident, the Swedish company now prevents its goods from circulating in France and will move its logistics to Belgium and will only be distributed from there.

The EU will provide more than 20 billion euros for countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Balkans, on top of the 450 million euros the EU has sent to Morocco and 20 million euros to Iran in covid aid funding.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/eu-20-billion-euros-africa-164356966.html

These nations have far fewer cases of coronavirus than Western European nations - who are struggling with a crisis.

The UK and Germany are the biggest funders to the EU, and the Dutch are the largest funders (per capita) to the EU.

The Dutch have received very little help from the EU and have a shortage of hospitals, PPE, ventilators, care homes, etc, due to large spending cuts in the NL.

Geert Wilders: "EU is providing €450 million to Morocco (not a member of the EU, 534 Corona patients) for Corona assistance and €25 million to the Netherlands (EU member and 11,750 Corona patients). I say : NEXIT"

Europeans across social media and also politicians in northern and southern Europe have been slandering each other over the previous week or so, following a political stand-off between the Netherlands and Italy/France/Spain/Portugal over coronabonds.

The Italians, Portuguese, Greeks, and Spanish have been heavily insulting the Dutch in particular and have been rudely calling them as 'economic nazis', and are demanding that the Dutch people pay more to fund the southern states. The Dutch have responded by calling the southern EU states as 'garlic nations' that are 'badly managed and irresponsible with their internal financial issues.'

The southern EU states and France have demanded for the northern EU states (in particular, Germany and the Netherlands) to give the southern EU states more money in yet another P.I.G.S. (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain) bailout!

The Dutch finance minister finally capitulated to the EU demands after the stand-off and has agreed for the Dutch to pay for the southern EU states... much to the fury of the Dutch people. Their next Dutch election will be in March 2021. Time for Nexit... which is trending on social media in the Netherlands.

The unelected and bureaucratic EU presidents who run the EU decided to impose harsh fines on Italy during this crisis, and they're the ones who've sent large EU funds to help non EU funding nations outside of Europe during this crisis.

Forced political unions against the will of the people always leads to arguments, hostility, and eventual divides. The EU has caused all these arguments between western and eastern and northern and southern Europeans.

The Dutch people are now fuming with their government for capitulating to the 'garlic nations' (as long time Eurosceptic Dutch politician Geert Wilders (also the leader of the biggest opposition party to the Dutch VVD coalition government,) recently referred to them.)

The Dutch people are now infuriated that they're being squeezed of their funds (yet again) to pay for the poorly managed southern states (yet again.)

The leftist socialist Portuguese Prime Minister has even gone so far to cheekily demand for the EU to 'kick the Netherlands out of the EU.'

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1267873/EU-Netherlands-Portugal-threat-Brussels-eurozone-coronavirus-corona-bonds-latest

The Dutch Eurosceptic parties reaction to this empty threat made by the Portuguese Prime Minister was 'Please do kick us out! Much appreciated!'

The Dutch should kick the corrupt and bureaucratic EUSSR out of the Netherlands!

Of course the EU won't kick out one of their biggest funders - as the parasites want to keep leeching Dutch money.

Finland, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands are strongly opposed to bailing out the southern EU states in another PIGS bailout again.

More Dutch people are now calling for a Nexit.... whilst in Italy there's lots of angry Italians calling for an Italexit and burning EU flags, due to the large fines the EU imposed on their nation, along with the lack of help from the EUSSR and their ponzi scheme.

The EU have heavily pissed off Canada in the past in fishing wars between the EU and Canada (with the UK siding with Canada, and the EU siding with Spain) - and the EU is continuing to piss off the UK with another 5 EU supertrawlers fishing in UK Scottish waters the other day whilst the UK is in lockdown:

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1267589/eu-fisheries-row-bloc-crippled-country-illegal-fishing-no-fish-left-canada-spt

Poland and Hungary are constantly scorned and threatened by the EU leaders (in particular President Macron and Guy Verhofstadt,) for their tough conservative governments controlling their own borders and for being opposed to mass immigration. Hence the reason why Poland have the highest amount of Eurosceptics in the EU now.

Germany's Eurosceptic AfD party continues to gain more popularity at each election.

Nexit was trending on social media for 3 days in the Netherlands since their government capitulated to the demands from the southern EU states.

Dictator Guy Verhofstat (who many Brexiteers and Nexiteers, etc, frequently mock under his posts on Twitter each day - as he's such a moron and an extremely unpopular clown - and he's such an extreme and fanatical Eurocrat who demands for an 'EU empire', and constantly rants and preaches each day 'I am European!')

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D3O5ACgWAAE1P3e.jpg

Just look at this Belgian Eurocrat's (Guy Verhoftwat's) rants in the EU parliament - 'Europeans must surrender their sovereignty and powers for me to control': https://twitter.com/Gypo_Skiplicker/status/1248205311296573440

He even came over to the UK last year and stood on podiums and demanded for the UK people to vote for the Lib Dems - an illiberal and anti-democratic party that wore unprofessional clothing stating 'B*ll*cks to Brexit' written on the back of their sweatshirts in the EU parliament. Their anti-democratic and illiberal party chose to ignore our democratic referendum votes to leave the EU and they vowed to revoke Article 50 if they got into power... and their party leader lost her seat at the last UK election (lol,) and their party won very few seats in the UK parliament... lol.

So many political parties in Europe that have the names 'liberal' or 'democrat' are misnomers. They usually represent the exact opposite of a classic liberal or a true democrat!

Empress Angela Merkel (the most powerful woman in the world and the de facto leader of the EU) is of the German 'Christian Democratic Union' party... but there's nothing 'democratic' about her.

Belgian Eurocrat and dicator Guy Verhofstadt was the 'Leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe from 2009 to 2019'... but he's totally anti-democratic!

Same with the so-called 'Democrats' in the US.... who disrepected the democratic votes of millons of Americans who voted for President Trump when they chanted 'not my president.' How anti-democratic is that?!

A lot of UK people can't stand the megalomaniac and dictator Guy Verhofstadt... and he's also extremely unpopular with many other Eurosceptics across Europe.

Dictator Verhofstadt also insults President Trump (who was democratically elected by millions and millions of people - unlike Dictator Verhof-twat,) and he also insults President Putin. He threatens to impose sanctions on Hungary and Poland because they're opposed to the EU's mass immigration.

(He deliberately uses the terms 'United Europe' and preaches 'I am European!' instead of stating 'EU' - to try to fool Europeans. He deliberately does that to try to imply that any European who isn't part of the EU political dictatorship isn't European. Europe is 44 nations - and the EU is 27 member states... and being Eurosceptic and opposed to the anti-democratic EU is not being 'anti European' - which he desperately tries to fool Europeans into thinking. Eurosceptics hate the EU - we don't hate Europeans and Europe. It's the EU that is anti-European as they're against European nations democracies and sovereign powers, are destroying our unique Europeans identites and cultures (the EU is Islamifying Europe and turning it into Eurabia and Islamic states of Europe).... the EU is bankrupting European nations, etc. The EU is an enemy of Europeans.)

Eurosceptic Europeans keep telling Dictator Verhofstat again and again under his twitter posts that he should stop referring to the EU as 'Europe'.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EU0pkhLWoAEBdg9?format=jpg&name=medium

He yells in the EU parliament how Europeans must surrender their sovereignty and powers to the EU... (so him and his fellow Eurocrats can continue to get big salaries!)... along with his fellow Eurocrats... Ursula von der Lyon, Dictator Macron, Dictator Merkel & co.... who get loads of angry Europeans posting to them on social media each day.

These Eurocrats run the giant EUSSR ponzi scheme, and control the bureaucratic and totally anti-democratic EUSSR dictatorship.

They like to pretend that everything is 'just fine' in Europe.... and they like to pretend that we're all united as one big happy family. They are so out-of-touch with reality and they live in ivory towers. They're so arrogant that they didn't see Brexit coming... and now they refuse to listen to other angry Europeans.

The EU dictatorship is run by bureaucrats (Euro-crats) and bankers in the EU parliaments of Brussels and Strasbourg.

The UK government must stand firm over the next 12 weeks as the deadline for the EU to apply for another extension is 30th June 2020.

Boris has made it UK law that we'll fully leave the EU on 31st December 2020. Until that date, we still have to pay the EU £1.1 billion per month, still have to follow EU rules and laws, still have to allow free movement of people.... as new UK laws on immigration, deportations, etc, can't be fully implemented until the UK-EU transition period is over on 31st December.

The EU wants the UK to extend the UK-EU transition period for another 2 years (they're now using Coronavirus as their lame excuse for yet another extension,) - much to the anger of Brexiteers... cos each month we're kept in the transition period with the EU means we pay £1.1 billion per month to the EU.

Every deal the EU has offered with the UK so far during the transition period (to finalise trade deals has involved EU,) has been full of arrogant and unreasonable demands to the UK to submit to EU laws 'forever'.... EU demands to the UK to give the art and treasures in our museums to the EU.... EU demands to the UK to allow the EU to keep plundering our fishing waters for '25 years'.... EU demands to hand over our UK territory of Gibraltar to the EU.... and a long list of other nasty EU demands in any UK-EU trade deal... along with threats if we don't, (we're even threatened by the Eurocrats that we won't be allowed to land UK commercial planes in EU nations, etc.)

So many Brexiteers would rather we fully leave the EU on WTO terms and no EU deal. We can trade on WTO terms with the EU (if their corrupt dictatorship even exists in the future,) until the EU can be more reasonable.

A deal with the devil is not worth it when you look at all the sacrifices they're demanding in the long list of unreasonable demands from the EU to the UK in any trade deal. They won't let the UK fly free and disrespect our sovereignty, and they're still trying to hold us down to them by our tail.

The EU doesn't demand other independent and sovereign nations in the world to handover their fishing waters, territories, submit to EU courts and laws, etc... in any trade deal with the EU. The UK isn't demanding the EU to give us their resources, territories, submit to UK laws, etc, in any trade deal... so the hell with the EU's demands and threats.... plus the EU demands that the UK must pay the EU £39 billion in return for such a 'deal'.

We're best just fully leaving on 31st December 2020 on World Trade terms.... and let the EU come to us afterwards to discuss any trade deals with us after that. The UK has a trade deficit with the EU... and our biggest trade surpluses are with nations outside of the EU... and the EU has a massive trade surplus with the UK... so the EU (Michel Barnier and President Macron in particular,) should stop their demands and threats to the UK - and stop playing their big boy act - cos their EU is crumbling with a rise of Eurosceptic parties in other EU states who are also wanting to leave the corrupt Eurabia dictatorship. The EU is socially, culturally, democratically, politically, and financially harming their nations too.

We'll also save ourselves £39 billion by walking out on WTO terms, and stop paying £1.1 billion each month to the EU when the transition period ends to discuss and finalise trade talks. The UK is currently the second largest funder to the EU, after Germany. The UK will stop big funding to the EU after 31st December 2020.

Plus if they keep us trapped in their EU prison for another 2 years of the UK-EU transition period post Brexit, the bailout bill this time for the southern EU states is going to be enormous compared to the last bailouts for them. The UK people certainly don't want to stick around in any prolonged transition period between the EU and UK to foot their big EU coronavirus bailout bill... and the Dutch and Germans are extremely angry about having to pay the massive bailout bills for the southern EU states again, when the Germans and Dutch are already big financial contributors to the EUSSR and their people are financially squeezed too at the moment.

The 27 EU states leaders were visciously arguing with each other in February of this year over which EU states are going to have to pay a load extra to the EU to cover for the massive hole left in the EU's budget after the UK stops funding the EU in December.

The EU could either cut their big funding to the southern, eastern, and central EU states... or force Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, etc, to pay a load more to cover the EU budget. Either way, other EU controlled states will want to leave.

They can then elect the people who make their laws, control their borders and immigration laws, and have more control over their finances and can spend their money on their own nations - instead of funding other parasitic nations. They can still have an FTA (Free Trade Agreement) with other Europeans without having a big government control over them... full of unelected EU presidents.

Now the EU is heavily fining Italy during a time of crisis... and demanding for Germany and the Netherlands to foot the massive Coronavirus bailout bill this time for the southern EU states.

The EU is anti-democratic as they've ignored democratic referendum results in many EU states (Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, France, etc) against EU treaty signings... and they've also forced nations to have revotes when they've said no to the EU treaties.... and they've previously removed democratically elected leaders in EU states (Italy, Greece,) and replaced them with pro EU puppet governments.

The bureacratic and anti-democratic Eurocrats and their unelected EU presidents have the audacity and gaul to constantly preach to Europeans about 'democracy'.

The EU's open borders has also harmed Europeans during this coronavirus outbreak. The unelected EU presidents should be held accountable and arrested and charged.

The EU is a failure and a mess.

Oh yes please ! We want to be kicked out of the EU. Can you please do it today ? Yeah ? Good. Kick us out because we're bad kids and we're not going to give you our wallet or our pin code. Just know that if you do that, we'll pull our funding for you and with that pull the rug from right underneath you. In 2014, our government, in secret (as they admitted later) prepared for the eventuality that we had to leave the Eurozone so guess what: everything is ready, polished and waiting.

Oh btw: know that when we leave, the Germans will very likely leave as well and we both know what that means: it means that the Euro will have the same value the Zim dollar used to have and you might have some explaining to do as to why your bonds are suddenly junk and your currency in hyper-inflation. Please kick us out. Pretty please with sugar and whipped cream on top. Fuck it ! We'll throw in a cherry and some chocolate sprinkles as well if you kick us out today !

This one's for you:

Garlic nations lol.

 'knoflooklanden' (garlic nations.)

540 miljard euro over de balk gesmeten, knoflooklanden die lak hebben aan alle financiële regels nu toch rijkelijk beloond. Dit is geen overwinning maar financiële capitulatie. Waanzin.

Geert Wilders, Dutch politician and leader of the biggest opposition party in the Netherlands.

English translation: "540 billion euros thrown over the top, garlic countries who disregard all financial rules are now richly rewarded. This is not a victory but a financial capitulation. Madness."

'Please do! Much appreciated!' ;):thumb001: (Dutch anti-EU politician Geert Wilders response to the Portuguese Prime Minister's demands for the EU to kick the Netherlands out of the EU.)

Some responses I've seen to Italian posters:

Well, maybe you should take lessons from the Dutch. Being an entitled parasite isn’t working out. The Netherlands is the largest EU contributor. That should be enough.

I personally haven't got involved in these arguments on social media, but like most UK people, I feel sorry for both the Italians and the Dutch.

The Italians are suffering a lot and the EU has imposed large fines on them. Lots of UK people have expressed sympathy for them after seeing sad videos of lots of coffins and people without food, etc... and UK posters support them on their calls for an Italexit.

But at the same time I think it's very cheeky and appalling to now see the Portuguese Prime Minister and some people from southern EU states insulting Dutch people and arrogantly demanding for the Dutch to give them more money for their southern states... when the Dutch are also struggling with coronavirus.... so I also sympathise with the Dutch on wanting a Nexit.

Why should the Dutch have to pay for the southern EU states?? Charity begins at home. You can't help other nations if your own nation is also struggling with coronavirus, a shortage of hospitals and care homes due to closures from large spending cuts in their nation, a shortage of PPE - Personal Protective Equipment (face masks, protective clothing, etc, for nurses,) nursing pay cuts, staff shortages, shortage of ventilators, economic struggles, etc.

Seeing lots of insults recently from Spanish, Greek, Italian, and Portuguese posters on social media towards the Dutch has annoyed me. It's almost like watching a gangster mafia mob demanding the Dutch people to give them money. The Dutch are already the biggest EU funders (per capita) than any other EU member state.

The blame is with the incompetent EU leaders who have sent billions of euros to Latin American, African, and Asian nations in covid funding, instead of sending more funds to help Europeans.

In my opinion you are the p.i.g.

Anyway in Spain anybody is insulting the dutch or whatever, in fact anybody in my country is talking about that issue.

As usual you are lying...

I read them too. I understand some minor Italian and translator did the rest. All I need to do is to take a look at what people had to say to Conte and it wasn't pretty that's for sure. It was pure unadulterated racial hatred. So - why should we continue to feel any sympathy for people that have always hated us but just wanted our money ?
