He seems to have a high amount of northwestern European he most likely was part french. More Italian then iberian when usually it is more Iberian then italian. The Galician part was expected. A bit a charrúa ancetrsy is shown.

Nearly fully European (easily 98% considering the unassigned), only some tiny Native American "contamination".

Nice, European bloke, is the non Euro admixture seen on his appearance?

My uncle paper trail is 50% italian and 50% Spanish (2 grandparents of italian heritage, and 2 grandparents of Spanish/uruguayan heritage).

His Iberian is conformed by a grandfather who came from Galicia, and a grandmother who was Uruguayan, meaning she was mostly Iberian with some native in the mix (generated in colonial times). So 23andme read the Galicia bit right.

The Italian part is all from the north (Liguria and Piedmont), yet 23andme read it as Sicilian.

The northwestern Euro just comes from the north Italian blood imo.

EDIT: I got confused. He’s not 50% Spanish, as his uruguayan grandmother was also half-Italian. So he’s more like 60% italian and 40% spanish on paper trail.

Do you know his genealogy? If he has some German or French really?
EDIT: ^^ you responded in the same time:)

The 1,6% native? No, I don't think that would show on anyone.

The northwestern Euro is not French, it's just probably north Italian.

Interesting I would have though he was part french but northern Italian makes sense. Yeah it is wierd that he got sicily; i was gonna ask why he got sicily. I think that maybe Germanic ancestry component found in northern Italians went to the French/german ancestry maybe.

Gedmatch would be much more useful but you never seem to use it.

How come I never seem to use it lol? I've used in on myself before. Thing is I don't have the raw data of my uncle to upload it on Gedmatch. I could try to get it and upload it just for fun though I think that'd take days. What tests you think I should run on Gedmatch?

I personally have never seen you posting your results. But that's no big deal for me 'cause I'm not as interested in Southern Europeans as in other groups.

You can try all the standard calculators which most people would use - Eurogenes K13, K15, K36, etc.

Sure we all have ethnicities that interest us more than others. My results were uploaded years ago.
