G25 GAME: try to model yourself (with some rules)

A little game with some customized references I have compiled.

The game consist of modeling yourself using the least number of references from this small datasheet, and getting the smallest possible distance.

1-The maximum number of references that can be used is 5

2-only references that are in the datasheet can be used

3-To be more fair, try to use no more than 2 references from the same country in the maximun of 5.(Italians, Iberians and Frenchs are overrepresented)

(sorry, some ethnic group could have it difficult, that is the goal, complete with ethnicities to wich I have not already make any customized reference)

Some ethnicities probably will score less than 2 with 1 reference, but this is only to have some fun, it´s not a competition.

Anyone can use his own criteria, for example, simply wtach the distance list, or model himself according to his known ancestry...

For example a person from british Islands can try irish/Welsh/Scottish and English references, or a person from Serbia any Balkan sample and any Slav reference, South Italians can use greek references...

Probably one person with any of those origins will get the lowest distance with a single reference.

Irish/Scottish/Welsh:TestBC is a new reference, the problem is that I forgot to write all the exact references used.

It´s the first "new generation" customized reference, the idea is use the same method to change all the references i made, and update all to the same level.

Icelandic mtdna, I read, is 70% Gaelic, due to Norse kings in Iceland taking Scottish and Irish ladies back to Iceland and then filtering into Norway and Sweden, and prob other places I haven't read about. I know I get Irish&Scottish from even my Mom, who is a Scandinavian. To the point though, I wonder how many of those Celtic ladies went willingly....if they are indeed "allergic" to foreigners. I think Gixajo's G25 Game should be pinned to the front page of this subforum.
I don't know what criteria is used to pin them, I don't know which user has permission to do so, nor how to do.

It has been hidden in old pages and unfortunately no people have appeared to "up" the thread.

And I also don't know if the samples need adjustments.

But I consider it a great exercise for beginners, because a beginner learns in practice and intuitively some interesting concepts to take advantage of the G25 (if they really follow the rules of the game) all with fun:

1. The “player” starts with a few samples and this teaches him to select and create his own model – if later (after the game) he concludes that must add new samples as suspected, he can add them, and it is better than removing them, I think, because if he uses many references at once the result is bizarre and with a lot of noise (needing to automatically reduce populations or add columns artificially) and removing manually is boring and laborious;
2. He learns to look at the distance of the result (more relevant than isolated distances, I think) and not limit himself to observing the percentages of populations in the result (if a selection increases the distance, I mean something like >3% or even >2%, apparently he is going the wrong way);
3. He learns to balance the number of samples to avoid overlapping (unless overlapping is desirable, as in the case of a known predominant ethnicity);
4. He is forced to make the difficult decision of replacing less probably samples;
5. Lastly, it's really a fun game.

If the beginner believes that he needs to include more samples for greater precision (even if he thinks it is better to limit all samples as belonging to the same ethnicity), or he is not sure which samples are most likely, or he wants to investigate deeply, he can make a more sophisticated model. Then he is no longer a beginner.
