They are K13 coordinates used in Vahaduo, not G25 coordinates.

You can get your K13 coordinates trhough your results in Gedmatch for Eurogenes K13, copying every coordinate of the first results table after your name, and separating every coordinate with a comma (,), and using points(.) to separate decimal and non decimal parts of every coordinate percentage (usual english decimal notation).

Some Hungarians are getting very large distances to my surprise. I would also suggest adding some other populations that had some type of impact on Modern Hungarians: Ossetians for covering the Jász, Greeks, Italians, Austrians or South Germans to the German group, Walloons or East French to French group and maybe even a population for Cumans, even though from the only genetic study I found about them says that they were closest to modern Finnish, Komi and Turkic people, which is pretty ambiguous.

0.25x might be more reasonable with this model. Here I use my dad's GEDmatch theoretical kit, which is not nearly as good as his G25 theoretical kit. On G25 he is a bit less German and a bit more West Slavic.

His Slovenian half is highly Germanic, significantly more than average. He also has some German from his minor Czech ancestry I presume.
Also he belongs to proto Germanic haplogroup R1b U106.

This could be why Jewish falls off and Turkic appears more. That also doesn't interfere with the conqueror DNA.

Ashkenazi Jews have little mongoloid admixture but genetically they are south Italian like population.
Lot of Jews lived in Hungary and lot little assimilated, but again calculator like this is just for fun.

Why do you think that is overfit.

This is the definition of overfitting:
"Overfitting is a modeling error that occurs when a function is too closely fit to a limited set of data points. Overfitting the model generally takes the form of making an overly complex model to explain idiosyncrasies in the data under study."

In our case, we have a model with 15 data points and my run picks 8 of them, which is quite a lot, in order to explain the relationship between my coordinates and the available data.

The below is basically what's happening. Think of the green line as my run at 0.25x to 0.5x, which somewhat accurately models me with few data points and acceptable distance, while without a pen it goes and picks bits from every reference population (the blue dots) in order to explain the relationship.
Some of them will have real connections, while others work as noise proxies in order to create the lowest possible fit, and this is where the overfit comes from.

You clearly have old Magyar heritage and the standard Hungarian Slavic-Germanic genetics :) (I just lack the Germanic ancestry) I guess you are more Germanic than Slavic? And a bit of Caucasian too (possible Jassic ancestry in your case?) Nice results.

Just an average Alföld guy, seems that the original Hungarian population did survive pretty well here compared to other regions, contrary to many contrarians.

I think you are above average even for Alfold. Universe is Alfoldi and scores zero. You get lot more than Chris too who is Alfold + Szekely.
But I agree inside modern Hungary this admixture logically survived the most there.

I've seen him score it on other calcs too. For example in the k13 andre thread that I created. He scored high amount of NW Euro on 23andme (as well as lots of Broadly euro). Iirc he was 40% NW euro&Broadly euro on 23andme. In any case his german is more than avarage alföldi which is like 10%.

I did find two more German branches in my family tree, based on their surnames (Klein and Waldner), but only more far away, the early 19th and mid 19th century respectively. The rest all have Hungarian surnames, except one of my great-grandmothers (who was German) and three branches with possible Slovak or Czech surnames (Janík, Kubík and Čulik) dating to the mid 19th century. I'm also surprised I get so much German, while most of my ancestors were Hungarians which I can testify to the early 19th century.

I definitely have a solid assumption that some of those branches have migrated there from historic Northern Hungary, so if looking back even more in time (18th-early 19th century), I must have Northern Hungarian origins also, but I cannot prove it with documents yet.

I think you are above average even for Alfold. Universe is Alfoldi and scores zero. You get lot more than Chris too who is Alfold + Szekely.
But I agree inside modern Hungary this admixture logically survived the most there.

Yeah, my closest Hungarian populations are both Transdanubian and Budapest Hungarians, but Alföld comes in third place, definitely I'm not an average Alföld representative, but my high Magyar Conqueror components are definitely more typical to Alföld than to Western and Northern Hungary. Without my more recent German ancestry I believe I would be very typical to the Alföld average.

I did find two more German branches in my family tree, based on their surnames (Klein and Waldner), but only more far away, the early 19th and mid 19th century respectively. The rest all have Hungarian surnames, except one of my great-grandmothers (who was German) and three branches with possible Slovak or Czech surnames (Janík, Kubík and Čulik) dating to the mid 19th century. I'm also surprised I get so much German, while most of my ancestors were Hungarians which I can testify to the early 19th century.

It's possible but that can't be the case for thousands of people (basically everyone from Szekely Land), at least I don't think that's possible... He can't seriously think that. Or maybe if some of them assimilated, but that's also unlikely imo.

Although my theory about Armenians is much more likely (and you agreed with me on this), thousands of Armenian families have settled in Szekely Land and also in that city where half of my father's family come from. And I'm not talking about mass rape but slow assimilation and ,,magyarization'' which is very likely. But many of them didn't forget their identity I know this. It is now clear that there were Armenians among my ancestors
