View Full Version : Sending a Myheritage Kit from Europe: How much time does it take to reach the Lab?

Hi everyone, I ordered a kit more or less 3 weeks ago and it arrived at friday, august 28th at my home, I did the test and sent it trough CTT (Portuguese postal services) to the address of their US lab at Texas, I did everything that the instructions were ordering me to do.

Now I'm a bit worried because it has been 2 weeks since I took the test and sent it to the USA and I haven't received any notification about my sample haveing reached the lab. I sent an email to MyHeritage and they told me to wait 44 days as for the day I sent it to the US (28 August), so if until early October nothing new happens I will contact them and they will sent me a new kit.

I would like to share this concern with you since, I hope someone from Europe here has been tested with Myheritage and how much time did it get for you to the sample being certified as having reached the lab?

I think they have a 5 week limit to receive your kit and only after that time they send a replacement (not sure, you can ask them)
They lost first kit I sent and I got a replacement, it went well than.

If only 2 week passed it is still early.

Yes! :) It arrived 1 week ago as of September 14th. They are already extracting my DNA as of Setember 17th, they are estimating that the online results will be ready in between October 6th and October 13th. We will have to wait. :/

Glad for you! I wonder if you are gonna receive updated results (new reference populations).

No Idea.... We will see, someone told me they might come up with the results sooner than predicted so you never know... :)
