23andme says my yDNA is I-Z74. I'm a bit confused is this haplogroup I1 or I2 also where does this haplogroup originate? Sorry I'm new round here
It's under I1 and more specifically Norse (Scandinavian) L22 branch.

Looks like your ydna is Gothic.

I know an other moldavian (from Neamt county) with y-dna I1. I don’t know, it’s quite strange.

Maybe rare, but I don't see why would it be strange. Goths lived on Moldavian territory in 3rd century AD.

Ayy, welcome to the I club. I1 in particular, which you seem to belong to, is found among 3% of our population.

In Moldova could be due to the Variags?
They admix with local slavs and the slavs admix with the vlachs in Moldova.
Instead the Goths, i don’t know which haplogroup they carried. Someone know it?

Could be, why not. Eastern Goths in Wielbark culture (Poland) were also found to be I1 as far as I know.

I thought it may have come from the Swedes invading Ukraine roughly 300 years ago but the goths make a lot more sense, especially as I have no known slavic ancestry.
