Cool! The third one seems to have additional Slavic admixture but the first two are hardcore Tziganes.

what's the highest South Asian score a European Gypsy can get? i guess the first 2 are close to the maximum, right?

Yes, I've yet to see 30% SA in a Gypsy (K13). On Dodecad and HarappaWorld it's always lower (abt 80-85% of the Eurogenes score). I've posted many Gypsy results on another thread.

The sample size is small of course, but if it's credible overall then it once again shows that those South of the Danube are less Euro mixed.

And why would that be the case if those lands are actually more Nordo-Slavic genetically than Romania?

Maybe because Bosnia was under direct Ottoman rule all the way to the 19th century, so new waves of Gypsies from the Middle East could come more freely to Bosnia?

I don't know. The Roma have been present in Europe since at least 1400.

The third one has admixture equivalent to a fully European grandparent.

Historic mixing is the only logical answer from me, but yDNA doesn't support this fully. There are like 50 Romas from Bihor tested paternally and they were unanimously H. But in Romania specifically, a study identifed that J2a-M67 is a founder haplogroup for Romas, whereas that haplogroup traditionally is typically Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, etc. So perhaps those at least have a more mixed history, at least paternally.

I wonder if Hungarian and Slovak Gypsies are just as mixed as their Romanian counterparts. I don't have enough samples to prove or disprove that.
