My grandpa from my mom's side I believe, was a Crimean Tatar that got deported to Tashkent because all she knows is that he's from Tashkent lol
My grandma from my dad's side is a Russian from Vologda region and the rest of my family are Polish/Lithuanian. I believe they were mostly Polish who got Lithuanised after Vilnius region became Lithuanian, some of them had Lithuanian surnames but majority of them had Polish surnames, or at least these surnames originated in Polish language but got Lithuanised.

Anyways, rate my results, anything interesting that you noticed, should I do anything else besides Gedmatch K13?

Interesting results. Your y-dna subclade looks Slavic. But are you sure you are part Crimean Tatar?
Because I assume Crimean Tatars would score Anatolian instead of Iranian/Caucasus for their west Asian part.

IMO more likely that your "exotic part" is something like Uzbek or Tajik than Tatar, but I'm no expert, there are other members here who can tell you more.

I'm not sure. My mom barely knows anything about her dad except that he's from Tashkent and that is Uzbekistan. He called himself Tatar so that's why I assume Crimean Tatar

Post your gedmatch results I want to see where you plot. Would guess around Ukraine?
How do you look like? Does the 12% have big inpact in your looks?

Crimea river. Just joking. Yeah you're a Tatar partly. Still European mostly.

Blue eyes and blonde hair, I'm guessing Slavic phenotype and I guess it did impact my looks since I look a bit more similiar to my mom bone structure wise and she's basically half Tatar half Polish/Lithuanian.
My Tatar obviously had dark hair and dark eyes, my mom also got her hair and eye color from her dad. She kind of looks like a Tatar woman with black hair but she easily passes as European when she dyes it blonde. Literally rest of my family has blue or gray eyes and blonde or light brown hair.

someone add his K13 to the user results so we can model ourselves with a Lithuanian :love0033:

Hi, an interesting combination, came out almost as a regular Russian on Gedmatch. The 23andme results are of course much more varied. Can you also post Dodecad K12b?

I cannot give you a better model now but you are basically modeled as 75% Russian and 25% other things (Tatar and Tajik). I know it's not very accurate but the algorithm chose them because Russians are more Southern than Lithuanians and Volga Tatars are more Northern than Crimean Tatars

Out of curiosity, is your native language Lithuanian?

Thanks for the info and nope, it's Russian but I think that's solely due to USSR that my family started speaking Russian because all my family members Surnames were Polish except for Russian grandmother and Tatar grandfather.
My grandmother from my mother's side has a very Polish surname originally, Jankowska and I think she might've descended from noble Polish family because they had land and Jankowski/Jankowska used to be noble Surname.
My grandfather from my dad's side Surname is not so common so I will not say it plus I carry it :D but this is Polish originally, just changed few letters like sz to Š and voila, Lithuanised Surname, but we also have had Ethnic Lithuanians in our family like my dad's grandmother I believe.

I believe Poles in Lithuania still speak primarily Polish. But in the Soviet union mixed families were Russian-speaking in most cases. I guess you are nevertheless fluent in the state language, most Russians/Russian speakers below 30 in the Baltics are.

Yeah, that's true. We have Polish schools and stuff, we even had some Polish minority in our town and they spoke Polish. Also lots of Poles switched to Lithuanian throughout centuries, even towns that were fully Polish, like mine where my dad's side is originally from.

Yup, I'm fluent tbh I went to Lithuanian kintergarden, school and had only Lithuanian friends ^_^

Your mother does not lie.
Typical Eastern Europeans get at least 95% Eastern Europe in 23&me in their last version. For example, I get 97%. Your Eastern European is quite low, it fits the story of Tatar grandfather. And Tatars were deported en masse to Central Asia from Crimea by the Soviet government. The story your mother tells seems true. There is no Tatar category in any genetic tests, so Central Asian or Iran or Caucasus you get must be it by analogy.

I know, I have visited him once when I was 5 or so and my parents got VHS tape with him in it lol. I've seen quite few Lithuanians get 100% too.

Actually, both Lithuanians and Poles get near 100%, this test can't differentiate between Lithuanians and Poles, if you are interested to know that.

This test is not exact. Utena and Moscow can be bullshit for you. But approximately, you see, it is right, giving you 78% Eastern Europe, because one grandparent is technically 25%.

True, it made sense percentage wise. Before taking the test I knew I'd get approximately 20-25% Non European tbh
