I decided to log into myheritage after a long time, and I have match that shows up as an identical twin? wtf? This just not seem possible and must be a bug? Because their birthdate is not the same as mine. And we share 99.4% dna according to them. Any explanations?

EDIT: Twas a glitch. Mystery solved lol

For me was super accurate it helped me a lot with my tree and there was also family that i knew that i matched with them i reccomend it bcs MyHeritage have a lot of Users so the probability to find a close match is pretty high

I sent him a message. His dna results are very similar to mine, and has a Jewish name.

It doesn't seem possible. It could be some glitch. I know if you have more kits uploaded you match yourself 99.9%. :) Anyway how very interesting.

Regarding MyHeritage it isn't the most accurate but the raw dna is very good. I'm sure it has some good tools you can utilise as well. Let us know about the twin? :)

I had assumed it would be possible due to have 2 kits, however this person has a different location, different age, different name (His name is written in hebrew) so its confusing me.

Should I delete one of the kits and see if this person still appears?

No if they have a different name and different location they aren't you. :) How intriguing and strange. They aren't a twin because they are a different age and anyway I'm sure you would know if you were a twin. I don't know how it would be possible for a different person to share 99.4%. I think it's got to be a glitch.

Yes I would definitely message them. I wonder if they are really confused as well? Anyway it's something interesting. Tell us the outcome.

Someone probably cloned you in secret, be careful handing out DNA samples ;)
