Gedmatch often puts me on South Morocco, in the border with the Sahara, so I imagine that them Bedouins are fellow tercerones or adjacent.

But in all seriousness, I am actually genuinely intrigued in seeing the data Masaman used to make the map. It looks a bit arbitrary based on looking at the regions highlighted which is why I ask, and I'm not talking about south Portugal - that's valid (% is questionable though). I'm moreso talking about how places only a tad under and around Basques are somehow getting SSA, when they barely get much north african to warrant it, let alone any isolated ssa. I guess my question is, what is the methodology behind whether a region gets highlighted or not? Is he using some sort of basic algorithm based off of qpAdm results, or G25 that are creating the gradients? Is he even using any data? Is he just going based off his own intuition? Those are my questions... sorry coming from an analytical background these come natural to me.

I'm not sure what studies he used, but his YouTube channel is informative and seems pretty unbiased.

Why? I don't think Ashkenazi Jews have SSA ancestry and they're partially Levantine.
