I'm just curious to know what Greeks are getting as results for 23andMe. I'm 1/4 Greek and get Iberian ancestry. However, I'm not sure if I should attribute this to my Greek ancestry or somewhere else. I'm also curious to see if most Greeks are nearly all Med. or if they have a lot of North European admixture. Please share your results!

I'm not Greek but I share with many on 23andme. What I notice is that most mainland Greeks score decent percentages of Northeastern European on other calculators (Dodecad, Eurogenes) and on 23andme, may get small amounts of "Eastern European" and plot with other Balkan ethnic groups. Greek islanders, like Rhodes and Crete on the other hand cluster near people from Sicily and southern Italy, and have much lower percentages of Northern European.

Remember that the Greek language was brought by Indo-Europeans from the north, who were likely carrying NE European type "Baltic" genes. So the difference between islanders and the mainland may be due to the islands receiving much less of this influence.
