Well everything has turned up now, so we're all set to go, the trangia arrived this morning from ebay and for once it was certainly a good deal! he charged me £2 for postage but just the stamps came to £4.30, admittedly it is a old trangia and the pans are steel rather than aluminium (maybe their not the original ones?) but that only adds an extra 300g to the overall weight bringing it up to a round kg.

On the down side it's impossible to get anywhere near the hills due to the snow, and even if we go as planned, it will be straight after the thaw and everything will be soaked

We very nearly ended up with matching tents and sleeping bags for 4 people, so my friend suggested that we also buy matching waterproofs and then march along singing some silly song, the next suggestion was that we should carry a spare set of clothes so we could ask people to join our "sect"!
As it happened we only ended up with matching tents and two identical sleeping bags, so we're not quite all twins yet.
