We both derive ancestry from them obviously. They (Single Grave/Bell Beaker) are the ancestors of NW Europeans, as well the source for our Y-DNA (both P312 and U106).

I'm not sure how dependable myheritage raw data is nowadays but you might want to try ancestry or 23andMe or even get your whole genome tested because it's very strange to me because you should have basically less than a quarter more than the Irish average if you're a quarter finish East so you should only show something similar to my score but you don't and so something is strange and I don't know what it isQuote:

I was/am trying to understand how someone primarily NW European is scoring higher on the basic 3-way Yamnaya calc than a FULL Finnish_East average or individual sample. It doesn't make sense, does it? So if we add in some other HG, the Finns pick those up right away, but this guy I've been corresponding with is not showing them and he's getting western farmer, which also doesn't make sense per his Yamnaya result being so high. I think there are different variables at play here, but for me it's interesting to compare to him as he is from the Netherlands and my closest modern match is Dutch, and we are scoring higher than all the other NW nations, on averages.Quote:

It's best to omit Latvian HG's all together because no one in Europe has any real ancestry from them. You can be perfectly modelled without it.Quote:

There is quite some sub-strucure within the population here which explains the variance. This has to do with differences in ancient ancestry between regions in NL.Quote:
