Not fully. There are many people under 30 who know they're Crimean Tatars or Caucasians, even 90% of them are pure Tatars/Caucasians. But unfortunately they don't know their language very well. Our goverment must do something about this.Quote:

North Caucasians, yes. The younger generation knows who they are, yet identify as Turk just like the others. I wouldn't say assimilation to the situation of Tatars. Their language shift dates to the Crimean Khanate and they accepted as regular Turks in Turkey since the beginning. But they still have a Tatar identification in the community if that's what you are asking.Quote:

I must agree about this. They can use their language at home or close backgrounds but must know the language of the state. Also there should be schools in minority languages which are of the state in the places where minority laguages are spoken(f.ex; Kurdish schools in Eastern provinces or Laz schools in Northeast provinces) but they must be thought the state's official language at those schools. So the Turkish goverment can avoid the assimilation and the separatism. I wish this was in practice. Also many developing countries do that.Quote:
