Default "Celtic" music from Spain.. any modern examples?

Here is an example someone posted..
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OUeaBuhY_Q#t=206

Is there any Spanish music anyone knows of that sounds like this? It's a sound that reminds one of modern Irish groups like Flogging Molly, or Irish-American music like the Dropkick Murphys.

I have been told that this sort of music has gained popularity in Spain especially in Galicia due to a reclaiming of Celtic roots.

This videoclip show cows and a man playing a bagpipe, I think it's enough to claim Celtic roots

Ok, this is a true Celtic Spanish music.

Espada tengo. Lo demás, Dios lo remedie.

In the west almost all Spain had been subjugated, except that part which adjoins the cliffs where the Pyrenees end and is washed by the nearer waters of the ocean. Here two powerful nations, the Cantabrians and the Asturians, lived in freedom from the rule of Rome.")

The notion that Celtic music is made of bagpipes , violins and allegro tapping with your feet is rather absurd.

Bagpipes are not a Celtic instrument. Bagpipe music exists throughout Eurasia and is played in a wide range of ways by a wide range of cultures. Now the reason why people associate Celtic music with bagpipes, fiddles etc. is because people tend to equate Celtic with Irish, and those elements are prominent within Irish Folk. This is true specially for people who have no idea of what Europe is like. Facebook pseudo-anthropologists, teenagers who once read a book, North Americans and various combinations of all of those.

Bagpipe music is part of the folklore of countries such as Ukraine, Turkey or Georgia; to name a few.

In Spain, bagpipes are indeed popular all over the north-central an north-west regions. Some of these regional musics are indeed of Celtic origin. But music and other ancestral folklore is rooted and Celtic and Celtiberian culture throughout the entire peninsula. Not everywhere bagpipes are prominent though, yet the roots of it are just as Celtic.

I agree with all you said and I add that bagpipes are also popular in the Iberian east too. They're called gaita de boto in Aragon, sac de gemecs in Catalonia and xeremies in Majorca. I'd even say there's a sort of more Med approach to the sound.

Going by what the Picts & Gaels had. It was the clarsach and the tin-whsitles are the main Celtic music instruments.
