A bit lighter perhaps, but then you risk making the whole website look like a brick wall. Anyway it's up to Loki. I don't think it makes that big a difference. The blue contrasts the warm colors nicely IMO.

You can change theme of the website if you scroll all the way down and look at the drop down box in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This is the Dark Red - fixed theme.
