It is intersting that in Slovak language is the witch called bosorka or striga.Witch - Shtrig

Bosorka had to be loanword from Hungarian language, but what is origin of striga?

the internet says that a lugat is a vampire in albanian, and a dhampire is a hybrid of a vampire and a human, it's actually not a vampire vampire in albanian is a Dhampire, a dhampire isn't a hybrid, just that they were a human before they turned, dhampire means vampire and the translation of it sounds wrong it more like means To drain with pain or painfully numb, cause you can't drink blood with teeth, a lugat is a demon like creature similar to a vampire but not a vampire, apparently they can only be killed by a vampire...

It's from Latin. Lol at the pseudo-linguists in this thread especially the OP
Striga means evil spirit, compare Friulian strie, Italian strega, Ligurian stria, Lombard stria, and also Romanian strigă. Also the word vampire is Slavic in origin, deal with it.
