My surname is "Oak". Abraham inhabited the Oak Woods of Mamre. All portuguese surnames are also beared by sephardics, then any portuguese (and spanish) surname is also a potential jew surname.

Kulp does seem suspect. One of the branches of my families were early settlers in the Western part of Virginia, but they first arrived in PA. The town they lived in was full of Ashkenazi Jews. This was back in the 1700s. And Kulp was one of the people from that town.
