What's so surprising about it? The differences aren't that extreme.
Maybe a survey of overweightedness rather than obisity will yield more interesting results?

I thought it'd be higher in Britain honestly; at least 1/2 people aged 30+ look obese to me. Maybe it's all the young and old people keeping the statistics low. Most young are slim as are most super old people.

I already expected the UK to be higher up on the scale but I never would’ve guessed Turkey has it worse

Those gulf Arab countries are the most obese globally, then there is the US, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Lebanon and Jordan close behind.
