That is scientifically untenable. Religion must be seen as an empty signifier in a certain field of discourse. The culture of writing is of crucial importance. The Iranians do use the written Arabic language and writing, not the Turks; this written Arabism not only shapes thinking in a different way than orality does; Written language also takes on the part of "social priority". In a written culture, it is primarily the written language that is responsible for the tradition of knowledge and cultural memory. Not only are administrative and legal acts binding in today's Arabic written form; Success at school also depends crucially on the ability to deal with Arabic conceptual written texts in a productive and receptive manner.
To connect the Turks with Arabs is evidence of negligent ignorance.
