"Afshar or Afshari (Azerbaijani: Əfşar türkcəsi, افشار تورکجهسی‎, Әфшар түркҹәси; Turkish: Afşar dili or Afşarca) is a Turkic dialect spoken in Turkey, Iran, Syria, and parts of Afghanistan by the Afshars. Ethnologue and Glottolog list it as a dialect of the South Azerbaijani language.[2]

Afshar is distinguished by many loanwords from Persian and a rounding of the phoneme /a/ to [ɒ], as occurred in Uzbek. In many cases, vowels that are rounded in Azerbaijani are not rounded in Afshar. An example of this is /jiz/ (meaning 100), which is /jyz/ in standard Azerbaijani. "

Afshars in Iran remain a largely nomadic group,[8] with tribes in central Anatolia, northern Iran, and Azerbaijan.[9] They were the source of the Afsharid, Karamanid dynasties,[10] Baku Khanate, Zanjan Khanate and Urmia Khanate.

According to Rashid-al-Din Hamadani, Afshar, the eponymous founder of the tribe, was a son of Yildiz Khan, the third son of Oghuz Khan. Afshar means "obedient".[11]

Nader Shah, who became the monarch of Iran in 1736, was from the Qereklu tribe (Persian: قرخلو‎) of Afshars.[12][13]

Afshars in Turkey mostly live in Sarız, Tomarza and Pınarbaşı districts of Kayseri province, as well as in several villages in Adana, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep provinces.[15] Most of Afshars in Turkey are descendants of those who migrated from Iran after the fall of Nader Shah. This is hinted in one of poems by Dadaloğlu, famous Afshar bard during the resistance against forced settlement policy in Ottoman Empire:

I live in Kayseri. Afshar are with the most turanid phenotypes in Kayseri. I noticed that they are very similar to azerbaijani. they are not very similar to yoruks. Most of them have turanid-anatolid-pontid

Thanks my friend for this information. Yes it shows in their results that they are closer to Azeris when compared to other Turks. The results here are from Southwest and Central Anatolia (Kayseri) I think.

It's not a Kurdish suffix just because some Kurds have it. It's classified as a Turkish suffix everywhere. Most Azeri tribes have -li-lu as suffixes in Iran (myself included). Much higher frequency compared to Kurds.

Kurmanji Kurds show up high because Afshar Turks have an Iranian shift compared to other Turks. Also Kurmanji Kurds have more Anatolian ancestry compared to other Kurds.
