I can relate to that because I too was in that position as a younger man. The way I solved my problem is by getting really smart emotionally and learning to read women and people in general and look for red flags. I did this with some big help from older more experienced guys I was lucky to have around me council me at the time.

I grew up in a upper class semi-rich family.
It has never been hard for me to get what i wanted.
And somehow it affected my popularity in high school too.
