The economic demands of a woman depends on her physical appearance. The very pretty girl thinks she have the right to have a rich boyfriend. The one that is ugly can not demand much and complies with a man of the same economic level. The choice "poorer man" does not exist.

I think a guy who is not particularly wealthy, or on the poor side, and has a woman who loves him, has a lot less to worry about. If a guy has a lot of money, drives a Ferrari etc, and has women chasing him ... that guy has reason to doubt any female affection towards him. His future wife might make out with the postman, but still remain "happily married" with him for obvious reasons.

Morale has degenerated a lot in today's societies and and money does not equal promiscuity. Rich has to watch for the postman and pool boy and you average Joe has to keep an eye on the Plumber
