I don't know how to react(problem with girls)

Sometimes when I'm out, some party or something, it happens that whille I'm walking some unknown girl as I walk past her would say "you're cute", "you're pretty"(serious, this happens), but it always surprises me, and I kinda panicked, ignore her and fast move further.
I think that one of reasons is because every time it would be some girl that is in company with some other unknown girls, they would be around one table, and for some reason I think if she would be alone I would be much more relaxed and reacted better.
Anyway, my question is, what would be right reaction in that situation?

And I think one of reasons why I act as total phaggot in those situation is because I never feel
comfortably in parties or disco, when I arrange a meeting with some girl and just us two go in some quiet cafe how I like it, it always goes well.

If you're not the club type, hang out at bars, bars are awesome, and karaokes can be a source of entertainment while you get drunk with your mates.

A woman is not going to randomly say you're cute without her friends around. By themselves they'd feel awkward or even slutty saying that to a guy they don't know. Their friends are something of a shield to battle their own awkwardness and fear of rejection.

What you need to do is change your mentality. So what if she's with her friends? She may even be less self conscious with them there. Talk to them as a group so as not to make it seem awkward and always have this song playing in your mind to remind yourself that you're the shiznit and they be bitches and hos who want to be all up on your dick.

I am the same way, it's hard for me to get a girl with other people around. I get exhausted from too much external stimuli, but once I have her alone at a coffee-shop or bar, BAM! It's on!
