North Hungarians are closer to Slovaks, Czechs, Slovenes and Austrians, while East and South Hungarians are practically Serbo-Romanians in denial. Generally Hungarians are linguistically Ugricized Slavo-Romanians. Most of them look Slavo-Romanian with few Asiatic influenced, but Hungarians don't want to embrace their Slavic heritage and guys like you often talk how Orthodox Slavs are savages.

If I'd found-out I'm Gypsy, I wouldn't be so proud because of that, but still I'd embrace it like I embrace everything what's destined to me. I wouldn't post threads named like "can I pass as ethnic Austrian" or similar.
