Now this makes me think it probably is Georgian (or at least something West Asian) in my Mum's ancestry - Especially as the amount she gets is almost double mine, so it works out perfectly in regards to generations. This would make her probably 1/8 or possibly 1/16 Georgian/West Asian. Interesting stuff.

In terms of accuracy, this is the most consistent of the calculators i've seen - Especially as there is a consistency between mine and my mother's results - and it seems both plausible and very interesting considering there was apparently a Georgian diaspora in the 19th century...

Cheers! Yeah i think they re-labelled it from German to West & Central German for accuracy's sake, as East Germans seem to be quite different from West Germans...And i think a lot of the samples in other projects are actually more East German.

Cool, thanks. Very interesting. I guess this kind of makes sense for you if you are Anglo-Scot ancestry-wise? Although it's interesting how you are relatively closer to Danes than Norwegians compared to my family. I'd have thought it would be the other way round, with Shetland & Cumbrian ancestry. But i guess it's just a quirk of how the populations are related to each other.

Pretty cool tools though.
