I recently saw several posts regarding people from Dalmatians (Southern Croatia). Almost all of them have something to do with their swarthiness. I have decided to post some videos to judge better. Before that let me tell something first.
Dalmatians are not swarthy, but far from it. Swarthy Croats are those from Herzegovina and those from Bosnia (except central Bosnia), especially from those area where it borders Herzegovina and Dalmatia hence why some Dalmatians like those near border are somewhat woggy. Do not think I am biased since I am a Croat from Herzegovina (live near the border) and I can tell you that when I cross border(s) I see different people despite such small distance and despite both of them being Croats. Perhaps it is a coincidence, but Croats called us across the border as Vlachs and I was told that several times in person, but today it is told usually more as a joke. When I went to study in Split (called the main city of Dalmatia) I realized that the whole Split including my college is filled with Bosnian and Herzegovinian Croatian students and they differ from proper Dalmatians. Of course only I as some sort of "local" can know this and there are of course exceptions.
I have posted a video of the entire high school generation from a a little town near Split, called Omiš having a prom.
So, how do they look? Swarthy? Slavic in general, Italian, Albanian...?
