I don't know, it's quite possible. A little bit shows up for my father and grandfather, although it might just be noise as many Brits get a little bit of it. Although i noticed my mother and aunt have 1-2% South Asian.

I know my dad's phased file (which shows up better what my dad got from my grandfather) has a somewhat elevated South Asian score, so it's quite possible that it is real. And it could also explain our connection.
