The Japanese statistically have the longest life spans in the world. They rarely get overweight, age well, have lower rates of heart disease and cancer.
Is it due to the fact they protect their delicate skin more in the sun? Is it because they eat a much healthier diet of seafood and sushi, and less processed foods than westerners? Is it their relaxing nature-based natural Pagan beliefs keeping them in harmonious tune with natures energies, along with their relaxation gardens and lifestyle? Or a combination of it all?
The Japanese are very productive and hard workers, and have a very strong economy considering they've had 2 atom bombs dropped on them, nuclear leaks, Tsunami disasters, major earthquakes, etc, on their 4 small islands. Yet these very disciplined and good mannered hard workers have a productive economy and the longest lifespans.
Maybe we should take a leaf out of their book, drink more green tea, focus on nature more, eat more seafood.
They must be doing something right.
I think all the GM and processed foods in the western nations, pollution, drug-induced lifestyles, stressful lifestyles, are causing the higher rates of shorter lifespans in the west.
