You have Uyghurs who look Eurasian, some southern Chinese indigenous minorities that can look Tibeto-Burman or straight up Southeast Asian, some northern populations that can look like Mongols or Koreans, and some Chinese alongside in the eastern coast that can look quite Japanese.

Europeans are more diverse, if we are comparing Europeans to Han Chinese. If we are comparing Europeans to all Chinese citizens including Uyghurs, Tibetans and other minorities then I'm not sure which one to pick. Maybe in that case Chinese "win".

Ethnic Chinese people don't have a real east-west axis like Europeans do. There are differences between Western Europeans and Eastern Europeans too not only differences between Nords and Meds.

The only real phenotype difference in China is between North and South.

Needless to say that Indians and Black Africans are more diverse than either of them. So, what is the answer?

The answer is that it depends on the beholder. Probably to the average European «*all Chinese look alike*» and to the average Chinese «*all Europeans look alike*». I guess it’s a tie. There is a difference between every single if one takes the time to differentiate people. With the exception of identical twins, no one is alike.
