New Ancestry DNA update help!

So because I have such a mix some eastern European scandanivia some west Asia and middle eastern trade amounts around 5% and all of these things it could have just thrown the algorithm off and thus just clustered me as a northern Europe? Also as you said I found it odd brcusse my highest population was Irish and then southern europe at 20% but all of a sudden English and Irish jumped and my 20% was just gone. I might try testing with 23andme do you find them more accurate then ancestry. Also I'm goj g to give ancestry a call because at the end of the day this new algorithm doesnt match up with any of my tests as I have already stated. I am just kind of in shock because when you spend as much as you do with ancestry yok expect quality and things here arent really adding up

I would say calling/emailing them would be a good move to make sense of everything with the new update. As you said, there seems to be a clear inconsistency that should be sorted out with the test.

I already uploaded the ancestry dna from the previous or old update. But I'm just saying a 33% increase in English is a huge leap it's like they just got rid of everything and decided to just make me super Irish. Which is kind of making me mad because what this is saying andnmy ftfna and my gedmatch sah doesnt match this

You don't look super Irish at all from that update. Your Irish component actually decreased by 2% from the older version. It looks very Germanic to me. The England/Wales category is similar to the old Great Britain/Europe West Category and you also get a good amount of the Germanic Europe on top of that. A lot of people are losing their low confidence or trace regions. I lost all mine with the update.

I still have the old version. No Germanic Europe but instead ''Europe West'' and no Italy but instead ''Europe South''. I've seen the update in some of my matches and especially the once that have tested much later than me.

But how is my southern Europe at 20% a low confidence region on my old update literally it was my second highest competent and it just dropped off that doesnt make much sense does it. Like 20% isnt low confidence. Also if you look at my gedmatch and ftdna and other tests they do not reflect me being almost 80% from UK. Also a 33% increase is absolutely insane how could they have been that off from the old test. Also how did my German side which was the 4 lowest now some hiw become more accurate then my second highest population which was southern Europe. This doesnt make sense and goes against my gedmatch and many other tests

As I said though Italy Greece was my second highest population and the new update just completely dropped that from me and even my albanian Greece was 25% on other tests so just to drop it and seems odd

I wouldnt worry too much about it. Ancestry is only more meaningful for african ancestry. And geneology as well as dna relatives

So ancestry is only good for african dna? I am just super mad because this makes no sense like their calculations. I guess I will do 23andme and see how it is in comparision and I will do actually ftdna now.
