There is more than certainly a glitch in the part of their algorithm that calculates share segments distance, it's pretty obvious, hope it gets resolved asap and I am surprise they didn't realize it yet.

It's pretty insane, I wonder how accurate that is. I apparently share 107 cM with the "Viking Gaelic Mix Iceland", which could make him/her my second cousin - seems way too high for someone who lived almost 1000 years ago.

You should get your G25 done. It's very reasonable and well worth it because you can then get loads of models done on yourself. You can compare yourself to moderns and ancients. You can get it from Davidski at Eurogenes.

The great thing about the G25 is that it is updated as new samples become available. I've noticed now that Brittany has been added to this. I've put the modern populations I'm closest to in blue.

The more I read about it , from people here more knowledgeable than I am, the more I doubt the largest segment/total cMs for my deep dive matches . This for example is highly suspect.

Although I don't have deep dive, the one it shows me for free is across every chromosome besides the two sex chromosomes. Does anyone else have this seemingly much CM's in common with samples?

I am pretty newbie with all this personally but could be that a lot of the DNA of these old samples damaged significantly with time, hence the results not being very accurate, but all together it still gives a broad idea I think. For example I wouldn't rely too much on a DNA comparison with a 40000 years old Neanderthal specimen, that's way too old, but I would look at the comparison with a mediieval sample more seriously.

The more I read about it , from people here more knowledgeable than I am, the more I doubt the largest segment/total cMs for my deep dive matches . This for example is highly suspect.

I wonder,might be paranoia I admit, whether the inflated total cMs/largest segment is done deliberately. The idea being that people will tell other people "I got some great results with this"

I would more think of a bug in their system when calculating the size of shared segments, they are still at the experimental stage you can see the way their website is improving constantly, there is no reason for them to give wrong results, because in the long term people would always find out and move away from them.

These cM results are so way off it's not funny.
One of the Sigtuna "Vikings" 1100AD. That term bugs me and I will get to that later, is my mothers 4th cousin according to her results at almost 50 cM
If she is this individuals "4th Cousin" then why don't I have a match to the same DNA sample with my results?
Very funky stuff.

Getting back to the "Viking" thing this site is using, Viking is not an ethnicity is an occupation, it's what the Norse did.
Norsemen or Norse would be a more appropriate term to use.

I'll be sticking to Gedmatch and the calculators there for the time being, and checking out my"not quite so true"ancestry for a bit of a fun diversion and taking it all in with a grain of salt, there are certainly a number of things that do make sense.
I've found a paper trail of records with a connection to the 1650 Coffin DNA sample on my mothers side through a material line, but that deep dive? hmmmmmm.
